Finance & Strategy (F&S) is a team of trusted strategic advisors, driving growth and scale through innovation and partnership. We are looking for a Finance Manager that wants to make an impact on the G&A functions. This role will partner closely with Finance leaders, providing a wide breadth of exposure to execs and stakeholders. The Finance Manager will be responsible for providing support to the business through deep analytics and modeling, participating in cross-functional workstreams, and collaborating with business partners to manage and forecast operating costs.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation of finance experience, attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and be able to prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, high growth environment.


Description:


  • Collaborate with CFO business partners as a trusted performance advisor, driving key elements of the budgeting process and proactively communicating financial updates

  • Play an active role in cross-functional work streams which involve the CFO organization, advising on financially impacting decisions, monitoring costs, and keeping the Finance organization in the loop on important developments

  • Use financial modeling and innovative analytics to improve Zendesk’s understanding of it’s G&A organizations, key cost drivers, the value it delivers, and how that value can be increased

  • Design, implement and track KPI’s to measure performance against goals, identify emerging trends and provide insights about the drivers of performance and return on investment

  • Perform core responsibilities around month-end financial close, forecasting, and preparation of management reports related to financial results

  • Serve as primary F&S point of contact & approver on critical processes such as purchase requisition approvals and hiring requisition submission/approval


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Economics, Business, Finance, or Accounting

  • 7+ years of relevant FP&A experience

  • Exceptional MS Excel skills required

  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify and resolve data issues/needs quickly

  • Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to synthesize and communicate information across teams; comfortable presenting to executives

  • Strong EQ, experience partnering across matrixed organizations, and an appreciation for building deep business partnerships

  • Experience with financial planning systems strongly preferred - Hyperion or Adaptive experience, specifically, a plus

  • Strong working knowledge of SQL a plus

  • Experience with Google Suite (Sheets, Slides) a plus
