We are looking for a person who thrives in a multi-project, multifaceted and lively environment to help lead an outstanding and exciting opportunity. Zendesk’s Employee Experience Applications team is driving to define how we use technology in our digital workplace. To help us achieve our goals, you should be a successful and experienced Jira and Confluence administrator or analyst with a proven background in managing Atlassian products at scale.
What you’ll be doing

  • Provide general and overarching administration and configuration of JIRA and Confluence.

  • Manage Confluence and Jira plug-ins in order to improve efficiency.

  • Integrate Confluence and Jira with other applications such as Slack and GitHub.

  • Provide outstanding end-user support. Work with internal clients to understand, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to various configurations within Atlassian applications.

  • Maintain Confluence spaces and permission schemes, as well as JIRA projects, workflows, screen schemes, custom fields, permission schemes, and notification schemes.

  • Optimize existing workflows and help develop and implement new workflows.

  • Analyze requests for new JIRA functionality, implement new features, triage incoming support requests, and handle or route appropriately.

  • Manage role-based security of issues and projects, spaces and pages, with an understanding of how permissions are provisioned and administered in Atlassian products.

What you bring to the role

  • 3+ years of experience administering Jira and Confluence for an enterprise with 5,000+ users

  • 6+ years of Jira and Confluence Administration roles (plus if detailed Project Management and Change Management experience)

  • Skills to work independently and in a large project team setting

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills

  • Demonstrable ability to work autonomously, manage and lead small to medium projects or parts of larger programs requiring program management involvement

  • Self-motivated with the ability to not only work in a group/individual setting, but able to drive action and independently with little to no direction

  • Passionate about process optimization and system implementations
