Job Description
Workday is looking for an experienced Sr. Travel Analytics Program Manager . This person will be responsible to develop and manage global travel analytics and reporting strategy and understand the business/company requirements to maximize value and partner with business stakeholders. This position will also support Workday’s federal program requirements to ensure compliance for travel. This role will also be responsible for the end-to-end sourcing process and program management of category strategies, spend and market analysis, negotiating contracts and pricing, and supplier management. The ideal candidate should have deep sourcing and vendor management experience within Global Travel, be able to operate at all levels of the organization and move seamlessly from tactical to strategic. Additionally, this person must have a keen eye for detail, be able to provide insights based on market conditions and trends, investigate innovative methods, optimize value from goods and service providers, improve the decision-making process, and increase the flow of information.
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Create and maintain travel, expense and invoice reporting and dashboards, analyze data and present key insights to the executive team

  • Strong critical thinking and business curiosity, including advanced analytical and problem solving skills, strong ability to work with complex and detailed data to drive insights and decisions

  • Provide input and data analysis in support of category efforts, as needed

  • Engage with the internal businesses to gather required data for sourcing projects or other initiatives

  • Work on and manage sourcing & travel projects as requested

  • Gather spend data and business requirements from internal customers and validate for completeness

  • Facilitate integration of select supplier information into relevant information systems

  • Ensure functionality and accuracy of data content in the systems

  • Support Global Services Sourcing & Travel team to develop and execute category strategies

  • Support Contract Management activities

  • Prepare Rf(x) documents and analyze supplier bid packages to generate bid comparisons on pricing and risk factors

  • Manage categories with spend as required

  • Support measurement tracking efforts

About you:

  • Strong data analytics and financial acumen with expert Excel experience required. Experience with Workday Prism Analytics and Egencia travel booking platform, preferred

  • Demonstration of critical thinking, by translating, analyzing and creating solutions from advanced financial modeling and data analytics

  • Proactive, result oriented, with a can-do attitude in meeting critical deadlines

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to engage and communicate with internal and external stakeholders

  • Advanced understanding of contracts and contract management

  • Expert at developing and executing negotiation strategies


  • 8+ years of experience in corporate travel management and sourcing, with global travel experience preferred

  • Undergraduate Degree in Supply Chain, Business or Info Systems; Master’s Degree preferred

  • Strong travel industry knowledge, travel supplier relationships, and travel data expertise

  • Extensive experience executing advanced Sourcing and Category Management concepts, practices, and procedures in Global Travel
