About the Team:
Workday’s Productivity Technology team is seeking a software development engineer with a focus on resilience to help us reach our customer satisfaction goals. Join a team finding innovative solutions to today’s software challenges such as real-time collaboration, application containerization, microservice architecture, and complex system integrations.
About the role:

  • Create tools to proactively identify and escalate problems before customers are even aware of them

  • Categorize, measure, and report on trends in customer-reported issues

  • Empower the support team to avoid escalations through documentation and training

  • Collaborate across many products to help define goals and boundaries

  • Improve infrastructure and logging to allow teams to build more robust dashboards, alerts, and monitors

About You!
You are:

  • Excited to scale technical service architecture by finding patterns and trends in metrics and logs

  • A persuasive communicator who enjoys a fast-paced work environment

  • Comfortable managing multiple projects in a large, complex organization

  • Flexible, reliable, and outgoing with a positive work attitude

  • You have:

  • A track record of detangling complex webs of dependencies

  • An aptitude for understanding customer problems and needs with empathy

  • A passion for teaching best-practices for resiliency to microservice developers in technologies like Java and Node.js

  • Experience with software analytics tools like Splunk, Wavefront, or Grafana
