We are looking for an exceptional UX Researcher to help us understand how Workday and our competitors serve their users. This person will apply their qualitative and quantitative user research skills (e.g., heuristic analysis, usability tests, in-depth user interviews, ethnography, surveys) to both Workday’s and competitors user scenarios.
Skills / Requirements:
Conduct user research across all of Workday’s product suite that will improve our understanding of our competitive position
Inform researchers, designers, and product managers how competitors serve their users for specific personas and/or scenarios.
Collaborate with Competitive Intelligence analysts within marketing
Partner with design experts to conduct heuristic analyses and usability tests, and to establish other methods to assess usability and user experience
Establish a framework to measure the UX quality of competitors’ solutions at a scenario level
Present findings to leadership and product development teams to accelerate their understanding of new areas
San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance
5+ years’ experience in the enterprise software industry
Comfort in engaging with senior executives and sales teams
Strong business acumen coupled with in-depth knowledge of UX principles and best practices
Solid executive presentation skills
Strong deliverable creation skills (typically in Powerpoint)
Strong research, analytical, and synthesis skills
Extensive experience with both evaluative and generative user research methods such as in-depth interviews, usability testing, concept testing, benchmarking, etc.
Solid understanding of the enterprise software applications landscape
Understanding of how and in what ways user experience differentiates products
“Get it done” mentality - willingness to roll up the sleeves in a fast-paced environment
Drive and desire to take on additional responsibilities over time in a high growth environment
Experience analyzing competitors’ user scenarios is a plus
