Join a team of talented, dynamic and passionate software engineers, working with key architects, product managers, and other stakeholders delivering a new generation of on-demand Enterprise solutions designed to meet the needs of today's global businesses. The team’s overall goal will be to accelerate the delivery of key Recruiting features in an agile environment while safeguarding the high quality our customers expect from Workday applications.
Workday is unique in that it builds enterprise software in the cloud on a single codeline through a continuous development model, allowing for rapid delivery of our software to our customers.
The successful candidate will be expected to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines, be passionate about building high quality enterprise applications and be innovative in their ideas.About the role:
Write and maintain SOLID, robust, efficient and maintainable code using an OO framework and tools.
Solve challenging problems in our Recruiting application related to performance, scalability, and resilience.
Write reliable unit, integration, and system level tests that will run on our CD pipeline.
Lead in a fast paced agile environment.
Regularly communicate with Senior Leadership.
Orchestrate and maintain cross-functional collaboration with other teams and their members.
Drive the long term technical vision for the product area. Develop that architectural runway which will lead us there.
Mentor and learn from other Recruiting team members in the USA and Ireland through pair programming, code reviews, knowledge shares, hackathons, etc.
8+ years experience with web application development or SaaS (Software as a Service); UML experience is a plus.
Advance levels of object oriented design and development experience in object oriented language such as Java, C#, etc.
Experience in front end UI technologies like React is a plus .
Experience designing/developing business applications as part of a team. Must be a collaborative team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Deep understanding of Software Engineering Principles.
You possess a passion for code quality, and an appreciation of test automation principles.
4 year degree in a computer related field or equivalent
You have a strong understanding of performance engineering and performance testing principles.
You are delivery-focused, motivated, and adept at keeping long term goals in mind while delivering day-to-day.
Talent acquisition and/or Federal business domain knowledge would be beneficial.
