About the Role:
Reporting to the VP of Workday Cloud Platform (“WCP”), the Strategic Initiatives Sr. Manager supports and oversees initiatives to ensure strong operational execution across the WCP leadership team and the entire WCP organization.
The Strategic Initiatives Sr. Manager must collaborate both within the organization and across other teams (Technology, Product, Sales, Marketing, etc.) in order to support existing processes and programs and manage day-to-day operations. He/she will need to work autonomously, use judgement in ambiguous situations, and build trust with leaders across the organization. A successful candidate must have a passion for driving continuous improvement, strong business acumen, and a basic knowledge of (Workday) technology.
Skills & Qualifications:
Manage and administer Objectives & Key Results (OKRs) across the Technology organization including communications, coaching/facilitation, managing updates, proactive reporting, and ensuring completion and compliance.
Support the coordination and execution of key events and meetings, including but not limited to Town Halls, Leadership Offsites, Employee Engagement events, etc.
Prepare presentations and content (slides) for key meetings including Town Halls, Customer Meetings, Quarterly Business Reviews, Leadership Offsites, etc.
Draft and manage internal communications for the organization and help with distribution including Slack and Email.
Ensure relevant information, employee news, and business communications are distributed through the proper channels across employees, managers, leaders, etc.
Own, manage, and improve the Technology Information hub.
Track critical action items and follow-up to completion.
Promote operational excellence by identifying opportunities to optimize organizational systems and processes.
Support strategic and cultural initiatives across the organization with content creation, general administration, and organization.
Partner with the VP of WCP on ad hoc requests, including but not limited to research, process improvements, and general business operations.
3-5 years of professional experience in Consulting, Project/Program Management, Product Management or similar role.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Excellent slide design and graphic skills using Google Slides.
Ability to learn quickly on a fast-paced team including technical topics.
Ability to handle interpersonal relationships judiciously, professionally, and empathetically.
Utterly organized and detail-oriented; a love for creating order out of chaos.
Intellectual curiosity paired with a growth-mindset.
Ability to work autonomously with limited guidance.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including executive-level presence and gravitas.
Team-player attitude with ability to dig into the details as well as see the big picture.
Expertise with collaboration tools (G-Suite - Google Slides, Google Docs, Google Forms, plus Zoom, Slack, etc.) and
Experience with content and communication tooling (Confluence, Bananatag a plus).
Experience and interest in enterprise SaaS.
Technical or engineering experience is a plus.
