Job Description
Workday was founded by two visionaries Dave Duffield and Aneel Bhusri (both PeopleSoft veterans) in 2005 with a goal to deliver Human Capital Management, Payroll, Financial Management and Worker Spend Management solutions for midsize and Fortune 500 companies.
Workday is looking for a self-motivated professional with functional domain knowledge in Compensation and Federal business domain. Candidates are expected to plan, design, and review test specifications and ensure full coverage testing based on functional specifications and requirements documents. This individual will be a primary contributor to the test effort for the Talent Optimization Compensation function of our Workday Enterprise Business Services offerings and, therefore, should be well versed in Compensation and QA processes and preferably have Federal Employee Compensation experience.
Responsibilities: Take ownership of functional area testing efforts for Talent Optimization Compensation.
Independently design, develop and execute test plans that achieve the full functionality of complex features.
Design “end-to-end” scenarios across features.
Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
Act as customer advocate in testing approach.
Provide regular status and estimations against test status.
Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements to Development.
Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
Share knowledge and demonstrate product areas to scrum team on an adhoc basis.
Provide input to the team and organization on how to use Agile/Scrum practices and values.
Liaison with development, project management and customer support.
Deliver high quality software products within a full development life-cycle.
Experience/Skills/Education: 5 years functional knowledge in Compensation processes and/or applications
BS in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
Experience in Quality Assurance or Customer Support or business analysis exposure preferred, but not required.
Excellent interpersonal skills, clear communication, a positive attitude, a good sense of humor/fun and empathy.
Shows creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness.
Enthusiastic, detail-oriented and confident individual with ability to work with various teams.
