About the Team
The Workday Time Tracking QA team is seeking individuals who are passionate about quality and technology; people who want to work with up-to-date tool sets and modern testing methodologies.
Our team is looking for an enthusiastic and self-motivated Quality Assurance Engineer with dynamic, hands-on functional QA experience in testing enterprise applications. Candidates are expected to plan, design, review, and execute test specifications and ensure full coverage of Time Tracking product based on functional specifications and requirements. This individual will be a primary contributor to the test effort for our State-of-the-Art Time Tracking product with best-in-class functionality such as Time Reporting, Time Entry, Approvals, Time Calculations, Employee/Manager Self Service, and Mobile Time Tracking.
About the Role

  • Take ownership of testing efforts for Workday's Time Tracking product.

  • Work as part of an Agile Scrum Team to design and execute test plans and test scripts.

  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.

  • Diagnose problems and report bugs and enhancements to Development.

  • Work with software developers, product managers, and other QA engineers to ensure software products meet functional requirements.

  • Act as customer advocate in testing approach.

  • Build regression and acceptance test scenarios.

  • Provide regular status and estimations against test plans.

  • Assist in determining test methodology and test data setup.

About You

  • Strong functional knowledge in Time & Attendance, preferably US and Global-working with complex Time Tracking calculation and eligibility rules.

  • 5+ years of Quality Assurance or equivalent Business Analysis experience, preferably in enterprise software applications.

  • 3+ years Time Management/HCM software application experience.

  • Experience with Web Services and REST APIs is a plus, but not required.

  • Knowledge and experience in Software development lifecycle processes and software test/release process.

  • Attitude and aptitude to be successful in a growing and rapidly changing company.

  • Clear and effective communication skills.

  • High degree of attention to detail, with a passion for troubleshooting and problem solving.

  • Enthusiastic and confident with the ability to work with various different teams.

  • A college degree in Business or Computer Science, or equivalent work experience.
