Critical Results:
As an Associate Learning and Development Specialist you will work closely with members of the Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness team to develop the content which will empower our employees to become “fluent in Workday”, with a focus on building and managing e-learning courses that introduce Workday’s business, technology, and products.
This role is for someone excited at the thought of developing impactful, unique, engaging, and relevant content at high quality and volume which drives and supports our business growth.
And it is ideal for someone who enjoys the content development and engagement process itself: fast information-gathering, organization and distillation of key ideas into simple and elegant language, trial of new techniques and technologies, and a willingness to adapt to evolve based on changing needs and conditions.
This role will deliver results in two critical areas:

Content development and management: In this role, you will develop content across a wide range of mediums—including courses, videos, and learning aids—to support organizational learning objectives.

  • Translate our business, products, and technology features and value into easily consumable videos , learning materials, resources, and training experiences that can quickly drive knowledge and skills growth.

  • Learn how to “speak” Workday including becoming familiar with common language, brand design principles, editorial guidelines, and key principles that appear across our programs.

  • Ensure that content is updated as needed to reflect changes in our messaging, business, products, and technology.

  • Perform other related duties as needed and assigned.

Project management, course evaluation and adoption analysis, and communications: In this role, you will support the management and completion of content development, evaluation, adoption analysis, and communication (marketing) projects.

  • Track course development projects (project management) using approved project management tools, and keeping team updated.

  • Create reports and analytics on course evaluation and adoption, as directed.

  • Create and manage communications for courses, including using various mediums for this (e.g., videos, postings, emails, interviews, meetings, etc.)

  • Perform other related duties as needed and assigned.

Communication (written and verbal) : Professional writing for learning, proofreads and edits own work and others as needed; participates in meetings with cross-functional stakeholders and communicates to drive results
Content development with a focus on e-learning : Creating engaging and accessible learning experiences intended for self-paced, globally dispersed audiences
Agility: Shifts gears comfortably and navigates deliverables to drive to successful results; flexes between multiple projects and workstreams
Results-Oriented: Delivers committed results on time, in a fast-paced, high-quality environment; effectively tracks project status and completion and identifies opportunities for improvement
Collaboration : Cultivates and leverages productive collaborative relationships to deliver results; works effectively with range of stakeholders and identified subject-matter experts
Technology Proponent: Open to using emerging and available technology to improve learning
Required Qualifications:

  • 3-6 months directly related business experience, in the following fields: Learning & Development, professional writing, content development, video creation, data reports and analytics, employee communication campaigns

  • Experience in corporate education environment preferred

  • Some college preferred
