WeWork’s Senior Technical Program Manager, GTS PMO will have a passion for program delivery, process engineering, defining strategy and execution of technology transformation along with a desire to relentlessly champion best practices in an continuously evolving and dynamic environment. You will be a member of the GTS PMO practice to define methods and procedures to deliver technical program, project, process, and operational effectiveness across the company. The GTS PMO team has both direct and matrixed team members dedicated to creating a modern day, value driven, GTS PMO practice that supports WeWork’s mission of creating environments where people and companies come together and do their best work.
The Senior Technical Program Manager, GTS PMO will be a member of a team located in New York and provide direction and best practices for delivery across WeWork’s GTS organization. The successful candidate will be accountable for designing and executing high value delivery frameworks and will ensure technology, process and standards improvements are aligned with company goals. This position reports to the Senior Director, GTS PMO.
Key Responsibilities
The Senior Technical Program Manager, GTS PMO will have a number of critical responsibilities focused on partnering with GTS Leadership, execution of strategic programs and projects, engineering and scaling our processes, and innovating solutions.

Partnering with the GTS Leadership
  • Own the delivery of all phases of complex technology programs and projects that span Product, Design, Engineering, Operations, and Service Desk teams with dependencies across other organizations.
  • Work independently to drive the innovation and execution of people, process and technology of complex programs of work that drive transformational change.
  • In conjunction with other members of the GTS PMO team, be a trusted advisor to internal leaders by seeing the big picture and translating business strategies into actionable short and long term program plans for the Organization.
  • Monitor standards and program work with GTS PMO Leadership to make adjustments in the pursuit of being a Best in Class organization.
  • Demonstrate ability to be a subject matter expert in GTS Programs, as well as partner in a matrixed organization to drive key critical decisions and resolve complex problems.

Execution of Strategic Programs and Projects:
  • Design, implement, operationalize, and track processes across teams, products, services and vendors to deliver program scope by utilizing expertise in program management, process engineering, Agile and ITIL frameworks, hybrid approaches, tools and techniques.
  • Simultaneously manage and drive the delivery of multiple programs, projects, and process engineering initiatives.
  • Contribute to the planning, development and implementation of cross-functional transformation programs across the entire company, globally.
  • Maintain Program dashboards, progress reporting, presentations, communications and actionable Program plans in line with the best practices established in Corporate Transformation.
  • Design Program execution around motivated teams iteratively driving to a common goal and focusing on continuous improvement.
  • Develop high performing PMO teams through ongoing opportunities for mentorship, training, and coaching.
  • Share knowledge and best practices within the GTS PMO Team as well as the broader organization, to ensure that WeWork’s transformation management is highly effective, renowned and valued.

Scaling our Processes & Metrics Dashboard:
  • Drive a customer service and financial discipline mindset measuring success using goals and metrics.
  • Monitor value metrics to make informed decisions that maximize returns across WeWork products and services.
  • Lead the design, implementation, operationalization, and evolution of leading edge business process engineering and productivity tools.
  • Develop best-in-class business transformation strategies, methods, tools, monitoring, and training.

Innovating solutions that disrupt outdated or manual practices

Skills and Professional Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, or a related discipline required
  • Experience leading complex global technology transformation in a consumer-facing / consumer service industry (particularly hospitality or retail), or high-volume professional services desirable
  • Experience managing multiple programs and projects at once.
  • 10+ years of relevant professional experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a Technical Program Management role with direct technical responsibility for technology transformation at either at a best-in-class global company or high growth startup
  • Track record of regular interaction with senior-level executives in Fortune 1000 or equivalent is desirable
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully transforming global enterprise technology processes that touch multiple disciplines, software, hardware, and infrastructure.
  • Experience with technology operations and support, SaaS applications, networking, video conferencing, cloud-based technologies.
  • Experience deploying Cloud Services and SaaS products with complex API and integrations.
  • Experience implementing ITIL best practices is required.
  • Certifications such as PMP, Prince, Agile and/or ITIL preferred.
