The Strategic Transactions team works directly with the CEO and has a dual mandate to (1) lead on special transactions and projects, including capital raising, and (2) help set and execute on global and business line strategy. The group serves our leadership team on their highest priorities. Examples include: developing fundraising strategy; structuring, evaluating and negotiating deals; owning strategy, planning and execution for incubating business lines and internal strategic workstreams. As a member of this team, you will be expected to work closely with senior executives across the company, as well as multiple partners from different functional areas. The right candidate will have a strong sense of ownership and have excellent problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.
Solving the problems different business lines and functions experience as we grow
Assessing unique transactions, from both a strategic and value-creation potential perspective
Working with our colleagues to implement our team's recommendations
Developing detailed financial models and valuation analyses for potential transactions
Working closely with our legal and financial teams to negotiate deals
Creating compelling presentations for review with our executive team and senior management
Leading negotiations of transaction terms and legal documentation, as well as ultimate transaction execution
3-4 years of work experience at top-tier investment bank, consulting firm, or private equity
Bachelor’s degree required
Experience in technology and/or real estate preferred, but not required
Demonstrated experience in financial modeling and analysis and transaction execution
Experience with performing comprehensive analyses on a variety of problems or transaction structures
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Self-starter capable of working independently
Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
Experience working effectively as part of a small team
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment with quick deadlines
