Manager, Financial Planning & Analysis

WeWork is looking for a talented leader to join our Americas FP&A team. This individual will be a key member of the Americas Financial Planning & Analytics team, reporting to the Head of FP&A, Americas.
The ideal candidate has advanced financial modeling skills, experience with complex business analytics, and an ability to take complicated concepts and communicate those in a distilled format to executives and other senior stakeholders. This role will be a key business partner to cross-functional leaders across the organization, as these partners rely on the FP&A organization to provide reliable reporting, analytics and actionable insights to enable day-to-day decision making. At the core, you will review performance, anticipate obstacles and spot red flags, all with an eye towards forecasting the region’s future results. You will balance multiple projects at once and partner with various operating and analytic groups.
Responsibilities include:

  • Serve as a strategic business partner to regional functional leads to assist them with understanding drivers and trends in their business, identify and develop growth opportunities, and ensure functional goals align with overall company objectives

  • Lead forecasting and budgeting processes through close collaboration with central, regional and territory stakeholders

  • Run monthly business reviews and reporting, surfacing insightful analytics and potential areas of opportunity for the regional and territory leadership teams

  • Partner and collaborate with Accounting, Data, and Central Finance teams to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting

  • Manage ad hoc projects to support management and business decisions

  • You will live the mission and values of WeWork at all time and model the leadership behaviors you expect to see in the function. You act as a thought partner to the CFO and regional finance team

Who we are looking for:

  • Extensive experience in management consulting, finance or business operations at high-growth companies

  • 8+ years of relevant work experience

  • Significant FP&A, people management and project management experience

  • A strategic thinker with excellent business judgment

  • Demonstrated ability to establish and improve processes and organizational design

  • Highly motivated and willing to take on multiple responsibilities at once

  • Experience consistently influencing teams to successful outcomes

  • Resourceful and relentless. Independently capable of seeking information, solving conceptual problems, corralling resources, and delivering results in challenging situations

  • Highly Innovative problem solver: possessing strong interpersonal, multi-tasking, organizational, and project planning skills, and demonstrating ability to meet aggressive deadlines

  • Excellent communicator who can effectively manage multiple stakeholders

  • Strong problem resolution, analytical and quantitative skills; detail-oriented strategic thinker

  • Quick and scrappy learner who adapts well to a fast-moving environment and gets things done, combines creativity, problem-solving skills, and a can-do attitude to overcome any obstacle
