Job Description
As a Product Manager within our Product Solutions team, we are seeking an individual that is a self-starter, ready to learn and innovate, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. This role will support our Visa Commercial Pay product, a virtual payment solution set that has travel, B2B and mobile components, as well as new market opportunities as they arise in the commercial space. The right candidate will be able to combine successful product development process experience with effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and technical skills. This role will be responsible for supporting the end-to-end product management (including market needs, product vision and strategy, roadmap creation and communication, product design and development, release planning, and customer enablement) of Visa Commercial Pay across a wide range of workstreams including Technology, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Regulatory, Operations, Implementation, Client Service and Product.
The role will report into the Director, Product Solutions who is responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the Visa Commercial Pay Solution and Virtual Travel Card Services.
  • Serve as product SME and provide support for the design and development of the Visa Commercial Pay solution set and other Visa travel products to both internal and external audiences
  • Facilitate the management and prioritization of the global product roadmap; ensuring the roadmap is aligned with the overall product vision and strategy and clearly communicated to all stakeholders
  • Translate business requirements to technical teams and external vendors for creation of functional and technical requirements. Validate accuracy of functional and technical requirements documents
  • Coordinate ongoing release management activities across the Visa Commercial Pay solution, optimizing execution (e.g., prioritization, schedule, security & risk management, documentation, go to market activities)
  • Through understanding of API specifications (XML and JSON), work with clients and partners to support design and enablement as they integrate into Visa’s B2B Travel APIs
  • Coordinate work for geographically distributed teams, developing integrated plans and schedules to track progress and dependencies with other functions and external parties, while resolving and escalating issues as required
  • Collaborate across global functions and levels within the organization to accomplish VBS priorities, understand market needs, align on product requirements, gather customer feedback, and resolve product issues
  • Be a product evangelist, communicating the product value proposition with key internal and external stakeholders
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Sales to communicate product features and benefits by supporting the creation and delivery of product collateral. Serve as a key contributor-to / owner-of product knowledge, ensuring collateral is relevant and accurate
  • Manage product related reporting, including success metrics and ad hoc reporting need



  • 5 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD

  • 6+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 4 +years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • 4+ years’ experience in product/project management or product development in the fintech industry
  • Strong knowledge of Product Management and SDLC principles and practices and agile frameworks. Hands on experience managing product development processes.
  • Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues and influence decision making at all levels of the organization without formal reporting structure authority is critical.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, attention to detail and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Self-starter with ability to keep teams motivated and moving forward even in the face of uncertainty.
  • Advanced proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and SharePoint) required.
  • Experience in a commercial products role
  • Working knowledge of collaboration tools such as MS Teams, JIRA, Confluence Wiki, and JIRA
  • Knowledge of API Design, UI/UX and Web Application Development
  • PMP or ITIL certification

Work Hours

Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours, with occasional international hours (AP/EU).
Physical Requirements
This position, in future, may be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
Work Authorization
