Job Description
The Seller Products team’s focus is to simplify, expand and enrich connections between sellers and their customers. We empower them to succeed and fulfill their purpose. This Product Analyst role will report to the Senior Director responsible for Visa Account Updater – a portfolio of lifecycle management products that support credential updates to help sellers maintain payment continuity for the credential on file payment relationships they have with their customers.
The Product Analyst will help evaluate potential product opportunities, develop product proposals, and help recommend market expansion strategies. He/she will contribute to the product vision and delivery, including managing functional requirements, feature expansion/prioritization, and product operations. He/she will also partner with internal groups to develop product expansion opportunities to new clients/markets and will partner with client facing teams to help clients optimize their use of the product. He/she may also be required to manage independent programs.
Essential Functions:
  • Define product requirements which involves writing of very clear, thorough, and detailed user stories for complex features and product sets.
  • Assist with planning for phased rollouts including minimal viable product and enhancement roadmap,.
  • Work cross-functionally with Product, Client Services, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Risk, Legal and Technology
  • Help produce proof of concept (POC) as appropriate to demonstrate concepts and how proposed designs will work
  • Participate in scrum meetings as needed as part of Agile methodology.
  • Work with Marketing to create/updated new client and consumer facing communications and update sales materials
  • Gather market intelligence to support strategy development and product commercialization; Research and analyze competitive landscape in priority markets
  • Perform analysis to support key clients as well as to identify opportunities to expand or optimize usage
  • Develop presentations for client calls

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or more than 2 years of work experience with an advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD)
  • Experience in a product management, financial services, or professional services (e.g. consulting, investment banking) role with knowledge of payment solutions a strong plus
  • Proven problem solving skills with a strong focus on clients
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to build connections with internal Visa teams and clients
  • Ability to transform business ideas into detailed requirements that enable technology teams to deliver new products or product enhancements based on business needs.
  • Curious and inquisitive, with a strong desire to get beyond the “what” and into the “why”
  • Collaborative spirit and a knack for finding solutions that meets the needs of diverse stakeholders
  • Ability to create and influence strategy
  • Passionate about what you do, sense of humor, and fired up about the opportunity to transform payments globally
  • Excellent project management skills and experience exercising informal authority in a large cross-functional team environment
  • Excellent analytical (qualitative and quantitative) acumen and attention to detail
  • Proactive and effective communicator, experienced in presenting information to all levels

Work Hours

Incumbent must make themselves available during core business hours.

Physical Requirements
This position, in future, may be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers, and reach with hands and arms.
