Job Description
The Visa B2B Connect Network Operations team is responsible for building and managing a scalable payments ecosystem for a first-of-its-kind, fast growing innovative cross-border payments network. We are standing up a new Network Operations function within the Visa B2B Connect organization and this is a new role responsible for the management, support and improvements to Visa’s global B2B Connect network operations.
The Director of Network Operations will also be responsible for shaping the overall Network Operations strategy and will work closely with Product, Engineering, Payment Efficiency, Development Operations and other cross-functional teams who are managing systems and applications, to drive efficiency and improvements in supporting/managing the network.
Responsibilities
  • Build and manage a best-in-class global network operations strategy and infrastructure for Visa B2B Connect to successfully process high value cross border payments around the world
  • Stand up a high performing team to continue evolving the network operations strategy supporting the B2B Connect product and platform development roadmap
  • Establish best-practice methodologies for problem resolution in a global, 24 x 7, critical production environment, rooted in metrics-based KPIs
  • Drive bottoms-up improvements for Network Operations (Incident, change and problem management)
  • Partner with client facing teams to lead crisis/incident event management incidents and regularly assess impact to clients and internal stakeholders
  • Manage oversight of complex network operations processes based on a combination of existing solutions, internal network infrastructure capabilities and external support (vendors).
  • Lead the development of innovative network operations processes and tools from concept to delivery with a focus on new technologies in the high value cross-border payments space
  • Work closely with Product, Network Engineering, Network Architecture, Technical Operations, Compliance, Client Services, other cross-functional teams who are managing systems and applications to drive efficiency and improvements in supporting/managing the network, reviewing/enhancing processes and implementing new technologies
  • Proactively ensure network operations capabilities are capable of handling emerging and future business requirements to support new use cases

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters in a Technical Discipline or MBA) preferred

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience leading a Network Engineering / Operations team or Software/Tools Development team
  • Experience leading an operations team to effectively support product and clients' needs; setting goals to guide operations team(s) to achieve targeted objectives
  • Proven track record of driving change and transformation in network operations processes, tools and technologies through metrics driven, KPI based methodologies
  • Experience working with highly effective engineering teams through major technology transitions
  • Demonstrated understanding of tools and technologies in network operations ecosystem
  • Flexible and adept at demonstrating strategic thinking such as designing solutions to support product innovations and partnering with cross-functional teams to convey technical specifications in the formulation of go-to-market plans
  • Great communicator and able to drive consensus across diverse/global technology teams.
  • Demonstrated experience of metrics driven management with accountability

Work Hours:
Varies upon the needs of the department
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.
