What you’ll be doing...

As Desktop Support Engineer, you will take an active role in ensuring that our internal business technology is developed, maintained, and supported. You will help the company succeed by solving end user computer problems, setting up software and tools, helping users with software problems, and help to ensure that we can grow and scale our internal operations.
  • Address tickets from our employees regarding hardware, software, and networking.
  • Walk customers through installing, using, and managing various business applications.
  • Ask focused questions to diagnose problems.
  • Guide users with simple, repeatable, step-by-step instructions.
  • Manage internal company infrastructure such as LAN, WiFi, and printers.
  • Assist with on-boarding new employees.
  • Help develop and define infrastructure support policies.
  • Manage OSX and Windows desktop systems
  • Adapt to changing and evolving business priorities by offering options and constructive ideas on how to achieve the goals given the realities of time and resources.
  • Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Provide timely estimates of on-going progress and transparency of work using tools like Jira along with daily stand-ups.
  • Keep abreast of technology trends and best practice with the ability to share those findings with the team.
  • Adhere to the standards of the team while also looking for opportunities to improve on team processes.

What we’re looking for...

You'll need to have:
  • Bachelor’s degree or one or more years of work experience.
  • One or more years of experience as a Desktop Support Engineer.
  • Experience with OSX and Windows.
  • Knowledge of common Desktop applications such as Google GSuite, and MS Office.

  • Ability to work in a highly collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated aptitude to learn new skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Ability to embrace change and work in an iterative development environment.
  • Experience with Active Directory.
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki network equipment.
  • Experience managing a fleet of OSX and Windows laptops.
  • Experience working in a startup environment.
  • Experience flying drones for business or pleasure.
