Sourcer, Talent Acquisition Academy Program (TAAP)

Uber

April 24, 2021

Talent Acquisition partners with Uber's businesses to understand their talent needs and find, engage, and guide candidates through the hiring process. We hire the right people for every job and help them find a team where they can make the biggest impact.
About the Role
At Uber, we continue to grow our team with people who have the curiosity, passion and collaborative spirit to help us keep the world moving forward. That's where you come in. We believe in learning by doing - and there is no better classroom than real-world experience. If you'd like to build the future of mobility and change the way people live, this is your chance to create history by joining the Uber Talent Acquisition Academy Program (TAAP)!
TAAP is designed to train people who are either returning to the workforce or making an intentional career shift into recruiting. Participants in the four-month comprehensive training program will be exposed to multiple facets of recruiting, providing hands-on participation with the business and allowing them to demonstrate their capabilities with addressing sophisticated recruiting business challenges.
The TAAP program is for individuals with limited or no recruiting background who are looking for a career change to develop them into top technical Sourcers. This Sourcer will ultimately work with teams of recruiters, sourcers and recruiting coordinators focusing in the areas of candidate talent sourcing and placement, process improvement and strategy development. Training in this program takes place in a team learning environment that ensures delivery of efficient, effective services to internal customers.
This role will be based out of Dallas, TX when Uber returns to work.
What You'll Do
  • For the first 4 weeks, TAAP Sourcers will be immersed in hands-on, immersive training to learn how to be successful Sourcers at Uber.
  • Training will be led by various subject matter experts, mentors, and TAAP management.
  • Training will include but is not limited to; tech and non-tech Sourcing and profiles at Uber, pipeline management, recruiting tools and systems mastery, candidate experience and engagement, and business stakeholder management.
  • Starting week 5, TAAP members will show what they've learned by actively Sourcing candidates to fill high-priority technical roles across multiple Engineering teams.
  • After week 16, cohort members will complete training, 'graduate' from TAAP, and be placed on best-fit Sourcing roles across Uber's Talent Acquisition teams.
