About the Role
Uber's regional marketing teams play a critical role when it comes to establishing deep connections with the markets and communities we operate in today. Representing the frontline of our business, regional marketers work closely with cross-functional regional partners (Comms, Policy, Ops and CommOps) to bring our products and brand strategy to life in-market. They work closely with regional program management teams (where applicable) and global stakeholders to define regional priorities in alignment with global priorities, managing activations of global toolkits and owning region-specific marketing efforts.
In this role, you'll report to the Head of Marketing, North America, and will be charged with developing and leading our social media strategy, vision and go-to-market execution for Uber Eats (US and Canada). The ideal candidate is ambitious, results-oriented, has a pulse on the social landscape; you've helped pioneer innovation, and have led strategy and execution (both campaign and evergreen) in social media for a global brand (either in-house or at an agency).
What You'll Do
  • Responsible for Uber Eats social media activity helping to breathe social-first thinking into everything we do across US/C.
  • Create impactful social activity that leads to an improvement in brand favorability and trust.
  • Partner with internal & agency teams to execute integrated social activity for brand and product campaigns, helping the brand to break through and shape culture
  • Establish an ownable social strategy and editorial approach that delivers beats of always-relevant social content aligned with our marketing objectives
  • Manage our Eats editorial calendar to ensure consistency across key markets. Translate global strategies into locally relevant campaigns and content.
  • Manage agency partners to ensure flawless execution of campaigns and activations.
Basic Qualifications
  • 5+ years experience leading social media channels and working on creative and innovative social media campaigns.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Deep understanding of how brands should use social to show up authentically.
  • Expert in developing social marketing strategies that are native to each channel and that can deliver tangible results
  • Experience managing relationships with external and internal agencies/design teams to brief and manage original content.
  • Ability to collect, analyze, and use social data to inform decision making.
  • At the cutting edge of social trends and culture, knowing how to credibly and sensitively harness them while maintaining brand safety and values.
  • Experience running influencers campaigns and how they can be used to extend social campaigns.
  • Deep understanding of how paid and organic content and strategies work together.
  • Flexible, with the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience working in a globally-led, matrixed organization, with regional teams executing
  • Attention to detail, excellent organization skills, and ability to manage multiple projects and responsibilities
  • Background in editorial planning and experience in content creation
