Twitter is seeking a Sr/Staff Researcher to be part of our Revenue team, focused on Advertiser Outcomes to support our Core Advertising business. Our team has a direct impact on advertising product strategy, roadmaps, and the design of new experiences that help advertisers of all sizes grow their business by connecting with people in a meaningful way.
Job Description
As a senior member of our Outcomes Research team, you will lead the proactive discovery, exploration and development of strategic advertising-related insights that will anchor our product strategies. Collaboration will also be a key part of your role. You’ll build relationships with partners in Product, Engineering, Design and Data Science. Also, you’ll work with other research teams across the business to connect the dots, seed new ideas, and ultimately sharpen product development strategies to help fuel long-term sustainable revenue growth for Twitter.
  • Through mixed research methods, develop advertising-related insights that guide our Core Advertising product strategy across teams in Product, Design, Engineering and Data Science
  • Deliver creative and impactful insights stories that engage our partners and also elevate the Experience Research function as a whole
  • Build collaborative relationships with a wide array of cross-functional partners
  • Serve as a trusted authority on advertising trends in various spaces (e.g. direct response, awareness) and the general landscape for our partners


Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in fields related to Research, Mathematics, Sociology, Economics or equivalent experience
  • 8+ years directly designing and executing mixed method (qualitative, quantitative, etc.) research projects at an agency, in-house, or both for Technology companies
  • 5+ years of experience in a media, marketing or advertising related research role

Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of the advertising industry, including but not limited to performance, video, and mobile advertising
  • A track record of producing customer-centric thought leadership that informs business, marketing and/or product development strategies and roadmaps
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships remotely and cross-functionally to influence strategy and decisions
  • An entrepreneurial, forward thinking mentality and creative approach to problem-solving
  • Strong business acumen; an understanding of business goals, strategies and pressures while being aware of industry trends and competitive actions as a context for doing research
  • Strong project management skills and experience guiding multiple internal and/or outsourced projects simultaneously
  • Ability to manage through ambiguity
