Job Description
The onboarding team at Twitter welcomes every new hire, connecting them to our purpose, empowering them to show up as their authentic self and getting them ready to do the best work of their careers. We are at a critical moment of transformation and need a senior L+D manager to help define and execute a global onboarding strategy that drives performance-readiness, establishes onboarding as a strategic driver of business goals and scales the current model to meet accelerated hiring targets.
What you’ll do:

  • Define the global onboarding strategy during the period of transformation and beyond to establish onboarding as a strategic driver of Twitter’s company goals.

  • Set the vision and key principles for onboarding and mobilize a wide network of leaders and partners to support the vision and contribute to its development.

  • Oversee execution of the transformation initiative; managing complex projects with interdependencies and cross-functional input.

  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the current MVP #FlightSchool ensuring service levels are maintained.

  • Eliminate single points of failure in the onboarding process in both back and front of house; bringing a global perspective and process-driven mindset to the problem.

  • Establish metrics to track the business outcomes of onboarding with a focus on ensuring our new hires are ready to make an impact at completion of the onboarding experience.

  • Lead the onboarding team promoting wellbeing, career growth and a culture of high performance.

  • Build a strong network and influence effectively across the People team, IT, functional onboarding partners and hiring managers.


  • 8-10 years L+D, HR or program management experience with proven skills in managing people programs end-to-end.

  • Strategy or operations management with demonstrable experience scaling services or programs and capability to detangle complex problems.

  • Demonstrates expertise and thought leadership in learning and development as strategic business driver.

  • International experience of working across multiple cultures and timezones.

  • Effective partner for stakeholders and sponsors across the company and at all levels.
