Job Description
This role is a full-time position based in Twitter’s corporate headquarters in San Francisco. While we have a preference for San Francisco, we are open to exploring candidates based in other locations. [Please note working hours will be in Pacific Standard Time]
Who We Are:
Sales Finance provides insight into Twitter’s business using financial models built on strong relationships. We engage directly with both senior management and front-line sales to understand the drivers of Twitter’s revenue and how to optimize that revenue.
Who You Are:
You will be helping to develop and implement standard methodologies for deal reviews and contracts processes across the organization. You will assist in the global revenue deal process and ensure the smooth execution of some of our largest and most strategic opportunities. You will help handle deal formation and flow, implement policies, ensure data accuracy, and drive sustainable growth, while reducing sales cycle times. You will also be involved in approving and signing contract IOs.
We are looking for a proactive, independent thinker, with sound business insight and excellent communication and collaboration skills. You are able to work in a structured manner and also thrive in ambiguity while not afraid to dive into business challenges and create solutions to problems that have never been pursued before.
What You Will Do:
  • Review and verify incoming deals for accuracy and compliance; confirm transactions adhere to revenue recognition policies and operational guidelines; help coordinate system reviews, ensure accuracy of data and meet SLAs
  • Oversee offshore staff. Ensure service level agreements are met and ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately.
  • Proactively seek out outsourcing opportunities and assist in the transition to help support the broader Sales Finance team.
  • Understand processes from beginning to end in order to ensure system enhancement projects meet objectives on time and address the stakeholder’s requirements. Increase employee adoption and usage of the tool with clear communication of benefits and training
  • Work collaboratively across different functions to understand deal and system requirements, structure, business terms and identification of potential risks and/or opportunities that can affect performance, growth and strategic positioning
  • Build reporting to guide planning and improve decision making and to track progress and growth, identify trends or any irregularities that may need further investigation.
  • Create and update policies, procedures, and training material as needed. Ensure documentation is updated by gathering feedback or when questions arise
  • Ensure approvals required for non-standard deals have been properly documented, raised to the right approval levels, and resolved within reasonable timeframes
  • Review and countersign Twitter’s revenue contracts and insertion orders and handle escalations

Qualifications
  • 3-4 years of Analytics, Deal Desk, Finance, Accounting, Program Management and/or Sales Operations background, working in high-growth, performance-focused environments
  • SQL experience required
  • Experience using Tableau, Javascript, or Google Apps Script to manipulate complex and large data sets, to automate redundant and manual processes, and to build dashboards and reports is a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce and Apttus is preferred
  • Experience in dealing with sophisticated, cross-functional deal/contract management across Sales, Finance, Legal and Accounting
  • Advanced Microsoft or Google Suite skills, specifically in Excel/Sheets or PowerPoint/Slides
  • Familiarity with basic accounting concepts, such as application of US GAAP Revenue Recognition rules is an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business or similar fields required; Master’s degree and/or Professional designation in Accounting, Finance or Legal a plus
