The Curation team is responsible for showcasing and contextualising the best events and stories that unfold on Twitter. Its work, across multiple product surfaces, including Topics, Trends contextualizations and Moments, makes it easy for customers to experience only-on Twitter conversations and get the most out of the platform, regardless of which accounts they follow.
The Twitter Curation team sits within Twitter’s Product team, with a mission to increase participation in healthy conversation. The Curation Standards function provides guidance on how curation happens globally, including best practices, training and style guidance, across Moments, trends contextualization and other projects.
We’re looking for a highly-skilled Lead, Standards (Analysis) to help drive the development of frameworks to track and evaluate our content and improve our guidance and training in pursuit of accuracy, impartiality and fair representation.
This person will work closely with the Head of Curation Standards, with a focus on maintaining and building trust in curation on one of the biggest public conversation platforms in the world.
This role, which can be remote or located in one of our curation offices in North America, will help us meet the highest standards in our curation.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for content quality, in crafting and maintaining tracking systems in a content environment, working with analytics and research partners, and turning data into meaningful recommendations for processes and training for a global team. They will be willing to learn international media law, as well as linguistic and cultural differences across a variety of global markets. Knowledge of and sensitivity to conversations of perception of bias and sourcing in the U.S. is required, while understanding perceptions in at least one other country is an asset.

Driving a team culture dedicated to accurate, impartial, transparent and thoughtful representation of voices in curation
Establishing data-led frameworks and benchmarks to evaluate our work, in partnership with the Curation Analytics team
Using data to identify areas of opportunity for new standards, team training and tooling
Supporting the team to improve consistency of practice around the world
Providing easy-to-understand, constructive feedback to aid team and individual development
Driving data-led processes that can be used globally to evaluate projects and progress
Communicating clearly and concisely with a multi-lingual, multicultural team
Identifying training opportunities based on curation data
Collaborating with leads and curators to develop training, policies and mentorship programs
Assisting in defining priorities of the Curation Standards function
Collaborating and communicating with Curation Analytics and technical teams
Assisting with other strategic projects as they develop
BA/BSc degree or equivalent experience
Written and verbal fluency in English; other languages a plus
Excellent written communication skills
8+ years of experience working in the content space, training a plus
Expertise and passion for using data and research to improve processes in a content setting
Expertise in editorial analytics, including the use of Excel, Tableau, Vertica or others
