Measurement products and integrations is essential to the success of online ads by helping advertisers quantify their return-on-investment. You will be responsible for building and executing a roadmap, reporting metric definitions, and integrations with 3rd party partners.

We’re looking for a curator specialist who will represent our team as a subject matter authority in the areas of US politics and civic processes, including, but not limited to elections, censuses, major referenda, ballot initiatives and political misinformation. The ideal candidate has a non-partisan understanding of Twitter user needs, priorities and policies around civic integrity. In addition to this focus on the US, the role will support other priority markets during local elections and political events. This person will use these skills to help us produce unique content experiences and contextualize conversations in real-time for Twitter users.
The Civic Integrity Curation Specialist has a passion for training and will identify and craft resources for individual, team and partner development. They will also represent Curation’s interests, collaborating across business functions to make meaningful recommendations for processes, product solutions and tools that will improve consistency of practice for a distributed team.
Candidates should care deeply about how misinformation manifests and propagates, and feel comfortable detecting and reviewing false narratives. They should also have demonstrable experience identifying credible sources relating to politics, civic processes, social justice and or public health. Members of this team work collaboratively and are encouraged to support curation and projects of other verticals including Entertainment and Sports.
While this role is primarily focused on English content, working proficiency in one or more of the following languages is a plus: Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese, Arabic, Korean, Tagalog, Tamil and Hindi.
This position is full-time and requires the flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed. The role can be remote in the US or located in our New York or San Francisco office.
Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with Curators to help drive best practices in the curation of political and civic content experiences

  • Using data findings, develop training resources and seek opportunities for ongoing team development.

  • Represent Curation as a functional specialist across business units, providing guidance with regard to politics and civic integrity

  • Own the practice of continuous reflection on civic integrity content experiences, including retrospectives, analysis and reporting

  • Uphold Curation’s standards and commitment to accuracy and impartiality

Qualifications


  • 4 - 5+ years of journalism, experience curating Tweets in real-time or related experience


  • Extensive experience using Twitter as a discovery tool, preferably in reporting

  • Deep knowledge of high-quality, unbiased political reporting

  • Experience combating false narratives on politics, civic processes and public health

  • Experience with news-gathering tools like Tweetdeck, Dataminr for News, etc is preferred

  • Experience training and/or mentoring teams preferred

  • BA/BS degree required

  • Self-managed and able to prioritize work effectively, with time pressure

  • Proficiency in Excel
