THE ROLE
Intern Program Managers on the Battery Pack Design Engineering team support the team in driving products from R&D concept to stable high-volume production. The role requires an extremely organized mind set, intense determination and great skill at pulling people together to make things happen. You will be detail oriented, a strong communicator in written and spoken formats, and have examples of project execution and team leadership outside your coursework. Tesla moves quickly, so being self‐motivated and disciplined is critical. You must be passionate, but direction changes frequently, so you must also be resilient. Our team makes the batteries for all our Electric Vehicles.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accountable for creating, maintaining & communicating plans to resolve program challenges
  • Understand & highlight key risks to meeting project goals
  • Develop an effective network of cross functional stakeholders
  • Drive action with these internal & cross functional teams to execute these plans
  • Track progress & report effectively on status, blockers & changes (ppt, excel)
  • Collate key information and create accurate & accessible sources of truth (JIRA, confluence)
  • Develop tools to improve communication & team effectiveness
  • Support logistics & organization of critical physical tasks (builds, teardowns, part management)
  • Complete appropriate documentation to ensure knowledge transfer of key outcomes

REQUIREMENTS

  • Working towards a B.S. Engineering or Equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written
  • Excellent ability to work with small and large teams
  • Experience leading and executing projects outside coursework
  • Understanding of the product design cycle & design problem solving processes
  • Good overall computer skills, including Microsoft Office & e‐mail programs
  • (Preferred) Familiar with battery design
