The Role
The Senior Project Manager, Crew Based Maintenance, will assist field managers by overseeing cost/schedule and planning for all construction projects handled by the team. This individual will leverage their strategic mindset to plan each job and ensure jobs are performed safely and on schedule. They also should have the ability to work cross functionally across engineering, supply chain, finance and other teams to improve processes and increase efficiency.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with team to establish and scale project management practices across multiple construction crews
  • Develop and maintain relationships with cross-functional business partners internal and external to department
  • Coordination of scheduling between Subcontractors, Operations Manager, Tesla Advisors, Scheduling team and Customer
  • Review and create project cases as needed for tracking
  • Develop and own complex workflows, planning across multiple delivery teams and against aggressive timelines
  • Consult with business to collect preliminary information and assets to move justified projects forward
  • Ensure projects adhere to defined scope, budget, schedule, and other project boundaries
  • Manage project risks, develop contingency plans, and partner with analysts to actively communicate updates and changes to all relevant stakeholders
  • Keep project management tool updated and leverage to provide visibility of strategy, timelines, communication, training, and success metrics
  • Track project progress and follow-up with accountable parties
  • Identify project/initiative KPIs and track progress to gauge effectiveness of development practices
  • Conduct post project/program evaluations in partnership with analysts and evaluation team, including capturing relevant, timely feedback and incorporating successes and areas for improvement into future project iterations

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred
  • 5+ years’ project management experience in Construction Industry
  • Highly motivated, self-starter able to work autonomously and drive the work they own forward effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment managing multiple projects, priorities, and urgent issues simultaneously
  • Skills in coaching, providing feedback, and motivating team members
  • Proponent for continuous improvements (Process, product, technology)
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter able to work autonomously and drive the work they own forward effectively
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, ambiguous environment managing multiple projects, priorities, and urgent issues simultaneously
  • Skills in coaching, providing feedback, and motivating team members
  • Ability to travel 30-40% across North America
