The role:
The Project Coordinator – Service Distribution is a member of the Tesla EMEA Service Distribution team that focuses on efficient and effective service parts and accessories supply to the Tesla Service Center network, Body Shops and E-fulfillment. This role will be contributing, and/or leading in the planning of initiatives initiated by the departments’ Staff Project Manager or Sr. Manager. The initiatives are driven by efforts to maintain or improve the performance of Tesla’s EMEA Service Parts Distribution – with the aim to support the Service Org in meeting its mission.
The Project Coordinator will take complete ownership of small-scale projects, or segments of substantial initiatives. The function also includes support to Service Distribution teams on ad-hoc and/or time constrained assignments. This position requires collaboration with, and across the Tesla lines of Service, Logistics, and Warehousing business. The Project Coordinator plays a role in project collaborations and communications between global members, in order to achieve a strong team approach and critical engagement.
Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate the (operational) needs of potential and existing 3PLs and work in a creative, pro-active manner to design and plan project tasks needed for the defined/expected outcome.
  • Manage small-scale projects – or segments of substantial/complex initiatives – from end to end, including corresponding project deliverables and risks.
  • Track and prioritize workstreams using team-wide collaboration tools including Jira, SharePoint, Confluence, and other similar tools.
  • Monitor and measure project progress against planned deliverables and timelines and provide conclusion narratives to Staff Project Manager, to accommodate potential contingencies.
  • Contribute in the Staff Project Manager’s business improvement proposals and objectives by translating the proposals into achievable project –plans and –scope.
  • Establish and maintain working relationships with all departments that have Service Parts Distribution touchpoints
  • Timely and successful completion of assigned projects / deliverables
  • Understand overall business needs, as well as parts of processes and department functions.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability in Supply Chain / Business Administration
  • Entrepreneurial and self-starter who can take initiative to drive results with minimal supervision and the ability to drive forward with goals independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Tableau and experience with Project Management methodologies, PM certification is a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Management roles and/or Supply Chain/ warehousing environment
  • Basic knowledge of 5-S, Kaizen & Lean management are preferable.
  • Project management and warehouse /supply chain processes experience in international middle sized/large spare parts warehouse operations.
  • Working with international stakeholders in a global operating environment
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office software packages (Word, Excel, Access)
  • Command of English language at a professional business level.
