The Role:
The North America Incident Management Team Lead will report to the EHS Incident management Supervisor and will proactively manage programs and processes to reduce the severity of any potential general liability, workers comp and property/auto claims. They will provide ongoing support to the Senior Manager of Safety by independently investigating claims and managing the treatment of injured workers. The Incident Management Team Lead will be responsible for communication with all Incident Management teammates, employees, clinics, site leadership and the Risk Management Team in order to provide great customer service & support.
Responsibilities:
  • Direct systems support to the Incident Management team.
  • First point of contact for workflow questions.
  • Update documents and protocols.
  • Assist in backup case control across North America manufacturing sites.
  • Provide direction to injured workers and supervisors regarding medical evaluation and treatment of any injuries ranging from 1st Aid to Advanced Life Support.
  • Manage claims compliance and OSHA recordkeeping (300 Log).
  • Evaluate the injury and assesses job duties to ensure reasonable accommodation is being made.
  • Additional safety related projects as needed.
  • Managing priority case review required cases
  • Tracking metrics and case compliance
  • Assisting North America Incident Management supervisors, risk management, and site leadership.

Requirements
  • Must have 1-3 years of recent workers compensation claims experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of workers compensation laws, policies and procedures.
  • Understanding of medical and legal terminology.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Strong mathematical calculating skills.
  • Excellent computer processing skills.
  • Thrive in a team environment.
  • Quick and accurate data entry skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks.
  • Basic level proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint and Outlook.
