This role supports the firmware organization through the assembly of various form factor test fixtures, electronic enclosures, and custom rack mounted test equipment used for component level PCB test. It is the expectation of this role that the candidate has sufficient experience to independently assemble electrical panels and harnesses to print.
Provided harness drawings - cut, strip, crimp, and assemble high density harnesses to print.
Provided electrical schematics from engineering, candidate will be responsible for component layout, organized harness routing, point-to-point wiring, assembly of rack mounted test infrastructure, and continuity verification.
Perform documented reworks, upgrades, general maintenance, and continuity troubleshooting of pre-existing test equipment.
Coordinate with purchasing for BOM procurement, engineering for technical guidance, and machine shop teams for fabrication needs.
Support occasional simple walk-up task requests from engineering.
Independently manage time to successfully complete parallel assignments.
2+ year of hands-on experience with industrial equipment, machine tools,
Demonstrated hands-on harness build experience.
Ability to read and interpret harness diagrams, and electrical schematics.
Proficient working with general and electrician tools, including basic soldering skills.
Exposure to simple shop fabrication/maker space environment.
Prior automated test fixture assembly experience a plus.
