At Tesla we are looking for an Electrical Engineer to support Facilities EMEA Market Expansion and Operations team extend the network in the region. Together with an amazing team, you will be responsible to support the Architectural Design, Construction PM, Facilities Management and Real Estate teams on expanding and maintaining the network of facilities. Responsibilities:
  • Support Architectural design team on power consumption estimations, load calculations and conceptual power requirements for projects on expansion development plan;
  • Support Architectural design team on definition of electrical requirements related to the specific programs of facilities;
  • Liaise with internal wider Electrical Engineering teams, assuring technical specification of relevant electrical requirements is communicated and transmitted effectively when updates/new equipment/new generation products rolled out;
  • Supervise, evaluate and validate Electrical SoW requirements defined by external Electrical Engineering consultants;
  • Manage power upgrade requests and liaise with local grid entities/suppliers to meet budget and execution estimated timelines;
  • Support construction PM team and Electrical contractors on electrical scope queries throughout buildout phase;
  • Assure electrical installations sustainability throughout the life cycle of the facility, supporting Facilities Management team’s on expansion/improvement/rectification projects;
  • Work with wider Electrical Engineering teams, driving innovation and importing relevant best practices to the Facilities Expansion team;
  • Provide ad hoc support to facilities Operations team on small works requests for maintenance and periodic inspections;
  • Provide expertise to the Facilities EMEA Market Expansion and Operations team on the objective of Risk Reduction Plans.

Requirement:
  • Knowledge and general understanding of electrical installations code/framework at European level, extended EMEA region a plus
  • 5+ years’ experience in electrical installations for mid/large sized industrial buildings
  • Track record of mid/large electrical installations on industrial use projects, from planning stage to commissioning on handover
  • Verifiable project’s portfolio in relevant field/building uses from maintenance perspective
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally in a collaborative manner across many teams
  • Strong engineering fundamentals and intuition, applied to planning, construction and electrical installations supervision
  • Understanding of project scheduling and the ability to communicate and work closely with consultants to ensure that project milestones are being met on time and complete
  • Excellent English oral and written communication skills, additional languages are a plus
  • The role is based in Amsterdam with some travel to support projects under construction and planning stages
  • Knowledge of relevant electrical engineer software tools, and of general CAD applications at user level
  • Fluency in Revit MEP design and families elaboration/creation
  • Knowledge and understanding of international drawing/planning convention standards
