Role:The EHS Technicians are a critical part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety team at Tesla. Reporting to the EHS team lead within a specific line of production, the EHS Technician is involved in a wide range of work across multiple EHS disciplines. The EHS Technician supports day-to-day operations by handling floor inspections, improving employee engagement, and helping to drive managing a number of overall EHS processes.
Responsibilities:-
Perform risk analysis on method sheets and standard operating procedures

Support EHS Specialists in safety team meetings

Review SOPs and work practices to identify any safety concerns

Stock and distribute safety supplies

Submit and track facilities and maintenance work orders

Administer basic training sessions and information flow down sessions
-
Conduct basic risk assessments and safety audits, dock inspections, and ergonomic lifting audits

Address, document, and support safety concerns
-
Organize, file, and maintain safety documentation
-
Support light-duty job placement assessments

Gather data for any assessments being conducted

Ensure all documentation on incident reports
Requirements:-
High school diploma or GED

Bachelor’s Degree and higher level education preferred

Minimum 3 years of work experience in a manufacturing environment

Basic understanding of general manufacturing safety
-
Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
-
Ability to stand and/or walk for 10+ hrs daily
-
Ability to climb stairs
-
Able to rapidly respond to employee health emergencies and activate emergency procedures
-
Available for second or third shift schedule along with weekend work as needed

Evidence of exceptional ability
