The Role
The Associate Employee Relations Partner will conducting in-depth intakes with employees to assist in workplace investigations. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and responsible for collecting and analyzing employee’s concerns. This position is both hands-on to help to continue to promote a positive culture at Tesla. This position can be positioned in Fremont, CA; Austin, TX; Reno, NV; or Draper, UT.
Responsibilities
  • Ability to issue spot and asks questions to ascertain more information after an allegation has been raised, to help assist ER team on triaging concerns
  • Conducts low level/low risk investigations in response to a range of employee relations concerns, including harassment, discrimination, retaliation, workplace violence, and other violations of rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Communicate regularly regarding pending investigations and provides timely investigation reports with supporting documentation for all completed investigations
  • Use effective interviewing and documentation techniques and utilize the designated online case management tool for tracking
  • Partner with Legal team in conducting investigations and HR leaders to provide counsel and facilitate prompt and effective resolution of workplace concerns
  • Develop effective relationships with HR Business Partners to promote positive employee relations throughout the organization to ensure a high level of employee satisfaction and engagement
  • Participate in projects led by the Employee and Labor Relations team as needed

Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or minimum 1-2 years’ experience in employee relations, investigations, employment law, and disciplinary actions; JD preferred but not required
  • Knowledge of federal, state and local laws, statutes, which govern employment policies and practices
  • Thorough understanding and application of internal and external HR principles, concepts, practices and standards
  • Ability to build strong working relationships across all levels of the organization, including remote areas
  • Excellent planning, organization and time management skills, attention to detail, ability to handle multiple tasks, and work in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; must be an articulate and persuasive communicator
  • Strong command of Microsoft programs (word, excel, PowerPoint)
