The Role
At Tesla we are looking for an Architectural Design & Construction Specialist. Together with an amazing team, you will be responsible for designing and deliver high-quality projects for the entire region. You will have the opportunity to set and follow industry trends and architectural innovations.
Responsibilities:

• Design, document, and deliver multiple simultaneous high-quality projects collaborating with internal and external teams;
• Maintain close working relationships with a team of consultants, including engineers, construction managers, planning consultants;
• Adhere to legal and industry standards in design and building codes, following and setting industry trends and architectural advancements;
• Incorporate and maintain brand standards;
• Create drawing sets (CAD);
• Manage project development from pre-design through to 100% CD set including permits, meeting with consultants, providing insight and assistance, and reviewing and approving consultant contract requests for payment, amendments, extensions of schedule and construction drawing sets;
• Lead the coordination of all disciplines to produce a comprehensive and coordinated construction document set that meets the requirements of local building code, ADA and zoning;
• Liaise with external construction professionals;
• Support integration of technical engineering solutions, coordinating external suppliers/manufacturers during project development and through construction implementation

Requirements:

• 6+ years working experience in architectural design
• Knowledge and experience working with local building code, ADA, zoning, and other applicable laws
• Understanding of project scheduling and the ability to communicate and work closely with consultants to ensure that project milestones are being met on time and complete
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Cloud package, full understanding of CAD applications and international drawing convention standards
• Strong understanding of Construction Technical Engineering and its implementation processes
• High level of comprehension and rational resolution
• Willingness to travel
