Spotify’s Technology Procurement team is searching for an experienced a Vendor Relationship Manager. In this role, you help Spotify engineers adapt quickly and thrive. You will make a significant direct impact on how Spotify works and serves audio to hundreds of millions of people daily. We partner with teams across Tech Procurement, part of our Platform Mission, and Spotify.
We are rapidly growing the vendor partnership for the vendors we govern and those we haven’t handled in the past. We seek efficiency and speed for Spotifiers globally. In this position, you are an authority for our technology platform strategy, leading interactions and knowledge sharing with leading infrastructure vendors, giving you a front seat in the current evolution of the cloud-native marketplace. You will be involved across the entire lifecycle of these relationships. From strategy to sourcing, prioritisation, governance, and, finally, public celebration of joint successes. You will develop and implement some of the most sophisticated global engagements around the world.

What You’ll do
Own the vendor management process by providing the governance to expand and run Spotify’s relationship with our strategic partners and potential new vendors.
Maintain technology partnerships while working with cross functional teams to enable Spotify engineering to adapt quickly
Partner with executive leads and engineers to understand their needs, both internal and external
Work with critical vendors to coordinate proactive communications, QBRs and relationship management to ensure these engagements are successful
Aid in implementing sustainable vendor management governance practices
Perform vendor governance with strategic partners, and support visible, impactful metrics that tell a story of the VMO's role within Spotify's mission
Be the advocate for long term Spotify interests with the vendors and help achieve them through vendor partnerships
Who you are
Work across organisational boundaries and build effective relationships to tackle highly complex challenges
Significant commercial experience in technology and Cloud, preferably in a tech company and/or engineering department within a media company
Confirmed experience in managing sophisticated and complicated vendors ranging from start-ups to large enterprises
Influential decision-making at all levels within an organisation, building from your expertise and skills
Knowledge and experience running global governance programs across multiple vendors
You are comfortable with uncertainty and require little direction to find excellent solutions in our current vendor landscape as well as towards the future.
