To support such a rich ecosystem of products and devices, the team in this part of Spotify’s organisation provides a set of building blocks that serve a diverse range of partners, including internal teams, large strategic partners, and home hobby enthusiasts.
Spotify is looking for an experienced Product Manager to lead our internal data orchestration and platformization team in their mission to enable Spotify’s feature teams to deliver their proposition across the whole Spotify product ecosystem.
This is a highly technical domain and while hands-on development experience is not required, you need to be able to engage in deep technical discussions. You are located in, or willing to relocate to, Stockholm, Sweden, where this team resides. Spotify offers relocation packages to those not already based in Stockholm.
What you’ll do
  • Drive the vision and strategy for how Spotify can deliver features and functionality across distributed and diverse product categories
  • Build positive relationships at all levels of the organization to learn, inform and collaborate
  • Influence organisational product & technical development beliefs and strategies in pursuit of maintaining rapid development and learning in a changing environment
  • Engage with a highly-technical set of partners and be able to speak to their direct needs & concerns
  • Make sure your team is doing right things, while not being spread too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support, and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Spotify
  • Additionally, you will become a key member of of this organization's Product team, defining and implementing the broader strategy on an organizational level and having direct impact across our consumer & ubiquity product capabilities.

Who you are
  • Able to think systematically about how distributed disconnected needs may be adapted and come together to form a concrete and complete solution
  • You have experience working with B2B, C2C or enterprise platform products
  • You deliver technical products which go beyond the artefacts, pursuing high standards of developer experience
  • You are excellent at sorting out ambiguity and ensure team members and partners alike have appropriate information and clear direction at all times
  • You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, engaging with your audience on a personal level
  • You are structured, and enable those around you to maintain focus on the right things at the right time
  • You are persistent, rational and put facts above speculation

  • Bonus if you have

  • Experience working with APIs and SDKs, particularly when offered in a product capacity
  • Up to date knowledge of API interface solutions, such as REST, gRPC and GraphQL
  • Domain knowledge of the music industry and/or online entertainment
  • A passion for Spotify as a product and a user experience
