Historically, Global Performance Marketing at Spotify has been 100% handled via the global hub in NYC. This role will oversee our first expansion team in London and will focus on evolving our global best practices and processes to better accommodate the needs of our partners, specifically in Europe and Asia. Ultimately rolling up to the Global Head of Performance Marketing, the London Lead will have a ton of global support and historical experience to tap into in NYC, but will also have the opportunity and independence to finesse and nuance their approach for the specific markets it services. Additionally, the Lead will be able to build a small team to help achieve their goals, starting with one additional team member this year.

What you'll do
  • Establish an operations model to translate performance marketing processes & workstreams to the regional level.
  • Form relationships with local business partners to understand their challenges and develop performance marketing learning agendas to support overcoming them.
  • Act as the on-the-ground professional for all things performance marketing, helping local partners and cross functional teams understand our mission, strategies, and best practices.
  • Build and manage a team to execute strategies across channels [paid search, social & display] for scaling and optimizing marketing campaigns for a diverse range of initiatives including revenue generation and user sign-ups.
  • Lead an intricate experimentation roadmap including A/B creative tests, incrementality tests, and spend scaling tests.
  • Develop business plans and forecasts, ensuring accurate pacing against said plans and volumes. Liaise both with our global AOR and in-house Social team to conceptualize and implement optimization strategies to meet and exceed volume and ROI goals.
  • Contribute to other team projects and initiatives, remaining flexible and willing to participate in cross channel and/or global deliverables.

Who you are
  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • 8+ years proven experience in performance marketing with extensive knowledge of all performance media across all channels including, but not limited to, Paid Search, Paid Social, Programmatic Display, Affiliates, etc.
  • 4+ years managerial experience
  • Data-focused with sophisticated proficiency in Excel and data visualization
  • Deep familiarity with CPA, CPC, CPM, ARPU and LTV
  • Experience working in a distributed team, collaborating across multiple geographies, and familiarity with international data providers and inventory sources
  • Experience in/around a startup or mobile culture is a plus - you are agile and able to adapt quickly, operating in a high growth mobile-first business
  • Comfort working with agency ad operations teams to ensure the accurate implementation, QA, and troubleshooting of ad tags and floodlights
  • In depth knowledge of tracking systems and data clarity
  • Direct experience with audience, analytics & marketing attribution platforms such as Google Analytics, DCM, DoubleClick Search, Adjust, Branch, LiveRamp and mParticle
  • You have ability to set goals and execute under tight deadlines
  • You have a strong work ethic and desire to always improve
  • You are a self-motivator and are able to work independently
