This is where you come in.
Our Localization team is growing and you’ll play a key role in this process. You will work from Spotify’s office in New York and will work closely alongside your colleagues in Stockholm to further enhance and support our localization team’s mission and vision. As Localization Program Manager, you will be in charge of making sure we provide our users with a truly localized experience, respecting their values and cultures. With the 60+ languages already supported, you’ll be fundamental to Spotify’s success around the world.
What you'll do
  • Manage the marketing localization program, end to end Localization Projects and large cross-functional initiatives.
  • Workflow optimization and automation. Partner mapping and management.
  • Workload analysis and distribution.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of localization project managers that will work within your program.
  • Work with our Operations Manager to flag dependencies and build a roadmap.
  • Develop a localization strategy for your program.
  • Manage and forecast budget for the program.
  • Lead meetings and work closely with cross-functional teams of designers, product owners, internal reviewers, engineers, marketers, and others across the company. You will facilitate communication of localization requirements, share insights, resolve any issues and ensure that we operate in line with our overall localization strategy. Analyze failures and successes and manage project retrospectives.
  • Localization education and evangelization through presentations, documentation, knowledge sharing sessions in front of large audiences.
  • Incorporate industry best practices and innovation into our localization strategy. Bring in innovative solutions to the table. Test possible tools and technologies to enable the team’s strategic goals.
  • You will report to our Lead Localization Manager located in our New York HQ.

Who you are
  • 6+ years experience as Localization Project and Program Manager in a fast paced role with accountability for delivering projects with multiple components and multiple partners and collaborators.
  • Experience working with Marketing, Product, Engineering and Software Development teams on the client side.
  • Experience managing QA programs, including Terminology Management and Style Guide creation.
  • Have a basic understanding of the engineering and software development processes.
  • Experience working with multiple TMS, CMS and other translation and content management tools.
  • Excellent track record in delivering global products, and understanding of localization challenges.
  • Creative as well as strategic problem solver who can demonstrate strong organizational and management skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
