We are looking for a Group Product Manager with both creative and analytical thinking to focus on Spotify’s Identity & Investment Product Area which is responsible for some of our most central experiences, including the Playlist and Your Library. We work across both free and premium versions of the product, and the features we launch go out to a global audience of 290+ million listeners. We strive to redefine the future of audio consumption even as we work to provide our users with an intuitive, pleasant, and friction-free daily listening experience. This is an exciting time for us as we grow our product to include a new range of features, leverage machine learning, and redefine how listeners connect with their favorite music and podcasts.
This is a leadership position at Spotify, with direct impact on the Spotify consumer value proposition. Your work will impact the entire Tech, Product, Insights & Design organization and you will collaborate with many parts of the organization such as content recommendations, marketing, licensing, editorial content, creator tools etc.
What You'll Do
- Own one of three “Product Areas” inside the Core Experience department, encompassing several teams that focus on one strategic domain
Lead a team of 5-7 Product Managers
- Partner with your Tech and Design Product Area Leads and foster a culture of impact and performance
Define and drive overall product vision, strategy and metrics and galvanize the teams to follow you
Work closely with partners across the organization to ensure that you and the Product Area provides for the company’s short- and long-term goals.
Make sure that your teams are strong and healthy – including capabilities, happiness, resilience and growth.
Work relentlessly to make sure your team is doing the right things, while not spreading too thinly. A healthy balance of innovation, support and maintenance is key for all successful teams at Spotify.
Stay on top of Spotify’s strategic and competitive position, filtering this down to your direct reports and your Product Area as a whole
Define OKRs, track progress and measure impact across several teams
Who You Are
You have several years of experience managing and developing well-loved mobile products
Experienced in defining and driving product strategy across more than one team
You are experienced with data driven product development and have deep knowledge of AB testing methods
You have experience and interest in leading and growing people
You have excellent leadership and relationship building skills.
You are an excellent communicator and storyteller, communicating concepts and ideas to stakeholders at all levels, in different shapes depending on the context
You are good at sorting out ambiguity
You know how to influence decision-making at all levels within an organisation, and in a variety of contexts
You have high standards for yourself and others
You never hesitate to roll up your sleeves and take on something hands-on, you persevere when others fall away
