We're looking for a passionate storyteller to join the Parcast script-editing team. You will edit and polish podcasts consumed by millions of people, while working with a diverse and talented creative team! You will work to guide scripts from the initial research and story development phase through the final draft. Additionally, you will edit, polish or rewrite as necessary to make sure scripts are production-ready for our growing network of 20+ always-on, evergreen shows. Above all, your work will impact the way the world experiences podcasts.

What you'll do
  • Edit a high volume of scripts for a variety of Parcast Network shows, including 30-45 minute weekly podcasts, shorter form daily shows, and other forms of auditory content
  • Polish and rewrite scripts as needed before they’re sent on for final approval
  • Provide creative notes to colleagues on their scripts, as needed
  • Communicate feedback and constructive criticism on written work product

Who you are
  • Able to shape compelling characters and exciting narratives from given facts
  • Highlight empathy, tension, and suspense through your edits
  • Produce quality edits in a timely manner and work under tight deadlines
  • Know when and how to perform supplemental research to contextualize a story
  • Skilled communicator capable of delivering quality feedback
  • Expertly wield the English language to tell a succinct and engaging story
  • Experience with professional writing or editing for podcasts, film, television, stage plays, novels, or short stories
  • Possess a deep understanding of storytelling, theme, and narrative structure
  • Adept at telling compelling, engaging stories through true crime, history, mystery, and non-fiction podcasts
  • Preferred - a few years of experience or education in podcasting, entertainment and/or journalism
  • Have a passion for true crime, history, and suspense
