Your role at Sephora:
Reporting to the Editorial Content Director, the Senior Writer, Video will develop compelling, original, on-brand video content from concept to execution for a variety of social media channels that support Sephora’s marketing initiatives. This role is full-time and works out of Sephora Studios, Los Angeles.
Partner closely with cross-functional partners to develop content strategy for new and ongoing video initiatives
Ensure content is fresh, SEO-driven, discoverable for our audience, and meets larger business goals
Develop copy for talent briefs, talking points, content outlines, on-screen graphics, and captions for 20+ videos a month
Provide on-set support, helping talent with talking points and delivery and making sure content is on brief
- Give thoughtful and informed feedback on video flow and structure during the editing and post-production process, ensuring final product meets the original goal
We’re excited about you if you have:
A minimum of 5+ years of writing and content strategy experience at a brand, network, website, or agency
On-set experience, specifically coaching talent of all ages and backgrounds on delivery and content
Experience with YouTube content development and a familiarity with social platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok, as well as the latest trends in video and social
- Experience working within a defined brand voice
- An understanding of retail/ecommerce, current industry trends, and a sense of what is ownable vs. what is overdone in beauty
- A willingness to bring high-level thinking to both big-picture and menial tasks
The desire to move fast and break things with a growing team of marketers and creatives
- A passion for the beauty/fashion/lifestyle space
- SEO and/or video editing experience a plus
