About the team

SAP Cloud Platform is our Platform-as-a-Service offering allowing to manage and develop business cloud applications.
Within our development team we research, develop, and operate services to observe and analyze applications along multiple dimensions, including performance, availability, and robustness. A major starting point is the processing and analysis of application logs and other metrics and events, which constitute a huge and highly relevant data stream.

The role

We look for motivated and curious students (f/m/d) who want to support us in topics around Cloud Computing and Logging, especially in context of Kubernetes. You should not be afraid of taking responsibility to work on tasks and projects independently. Furthermore, you should be willing to familiarize yourself with new topics and technologies.
As a working student (f/m/d) in our team, you will get insights into current cloud technologies, gain experience in dealing with open-source projects and contribute to our projects and PoCs (Proof of Concepts) in the field of observability.

Role requirements

  • In the first place? An open mind!
  • Student (f/m/d) at a university or a university of applied sciences
  • Preferred fields of study: Computer Science or Engineering
  • Passion for technical topics and strong will to learn new things
  • Knowledge in higher programming languages, e.g., Java, Javascript
  • Knowledge in Software Engineering, e.g., version control systems, test-driven development
  • Knowledge in Cloud Computing (e.g., CloudFoundry), Frameworks (Express.js, Spring), Operating Systems (Linux, Bash), Container technologies (Kubernetes, Docker) would be welcome

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please also describe your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
