Globalization Services is looking for a technical writer also known as "user assistance (associate) developer" (f/m/d) to cover for a collague on maternity leave for about a year.
As a technical writer (f/m/d) you will work closely with the product owner, software developers, product management experts, and support engineers, collaborating to understand the business processes and how the software covers them. You will then, together with the user assistance architect, develop the user assistance content (in English) comprising conventional documentation, graphics, and videos. The content tells our customers how to implement, configure and run our software. In addition, you will review UIs for usability, and research and define terminology.

  • University degree in technical communication, or communication and media management
  • 2–3 years' experience in technical writing or relevant internships or side jobs
  • The abilities to think holistically about users’ needs with regard to the software and the user assistance content, and to distil information from many (sometimes conflicting) sources into one set of clear instructions
  • The ability to create content in all formats
  • Excellent written and spoken English

The Globalization Services tech writing team is diverse and innovative. We have a clear customer focus, and we are at the forefront of many projects that add value to SAP's software overall. We have won several SAP awards for our projects.
