The Innovation Advisor engages customers at the “cutting edge of new,” working together with the SAP Sales teams to ideate, prototype and present the latest inspirational examples of what is possible with enterprise software.
The Innovation Advisor will be a part of the North American Office of Innovation, as a key member of the Innovation Experience Group.
The primary focus of the Innovation Architect is to execute on successful innovation prototypes with strategically targeted customers in North America. This includes both hands-on prototyping work and presenting to customers.
An Innovation Advisor interacts with prospective customers through executive meetings, discovery conversations and executive presentations. They possess knowledge of SAP software and innovative technology solutions (such at IoT, ML or XR), and are passionate about sharing their work with prospective customers.
Primary Activities of the Innovation Advisor
- Conduct discovery sessions with representatives from SAP customers in order to understand their unique innovation challenges
Qualify innovation opportunities encountered while meeting with customers based on ‘Awesome New Stuff’: the business benefit to the customer (Awesome), the novelty of a potential prototype in the market (New) and the relevance to SAP’s own product offerings (Stuff).
Develop demonstrative prototypes using your full-stack, hands-on skills to showcase new business processes and technologies like ML, IoT, 5G, mixed reality, online streaming technology and beyond.
Compose and deliver presentations showcasing the prototypes you and the team have built together. The presentations must articulate the sales message, differentiate SAP, and leave a strong and positive impression to audiences which often include senior company executives.
- Develop close relationships across SAP, including sales teams, consulting, support, development, solution advisory, industry and customer advisory, global expert organizations, marketing and operations, to help sales teams and customers navigate the complexity of taking a creative spark to a signed contract.
Experience & Education Requirements:
5+ years of development, consulting, technical sales or presales experience
Hands-on experience with full stack software development or demo prototype creation
1-3+ years of experience in one or more domains of new technology (AI/ML/Automation, IoT, Mixed Reality, Low Code/No Code, Other)
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across small, multidisciplinary teams
Excellent presentation and communication skills in English
Bachelor equivalent: minimum requirement
Master / MBA / Ph.D.: optional
