Role Description:

The HR Global Mobility Consultant provides operational and strategic guidance to the organization regarding mobility and compliance services.

Key responsibilities and main tasks:

  • Supports design and implementation of internal cross border staffing processes in close alignment with the finance, consulting, IT and other organizations.
  • Supports consulting projects with country expertise and drives relocation cases within SAP’s Global Mobility policies and agreed upon service level agreements as a case manager.
  • Maintains an excellent, broad knowledge of Global Mobility topics, especially with regards to country specifics: immigration, social security, tax and permanent establishment risks among others. Responsible for providing trainings/exchanges regarding Mobility topics (immigration, social security, tax)
  • Acts as a Country Expert for assigned country(ies) and/or Business Areas and shares expertise and guidance to aid business decisions, including proactive input for the internal knowledge database and takes end-to-end ownership for GM platforms and services (Transfers, Assignments, Bus. Travel compliance, etc).
  • Primary contact person for various internal business stakeholders to consult on Global Mobility related questions.
  • Manages process exceptions and finds solutions for non-standard cases as well as provides feedback for the global policy and ongoing process improvements.
  • Acts as an interface between local HR, Consulting, Finance, IT, Expat Payroll and the Shared Services Organization.
  • Escalates non-standard topics to the appropriate contacts, includes all stakeholders in the consultation with the customer and finds solutions.
  • Promotes global team collaboration and works closely with Mobility Consultants in other regions as well as Mobility Specialists who are part of the Shared Service Center.
  • Interacts with Mobility’s Third Party vendors for constant process improvements and optimization of the individual relocations

  • Basic understanding of logical and algorithmic functioning of software applications
  • Ability to troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis for issues identified in applications
  • Ability to communicate and serve as a bridge between HR and IT teams for projects involving enhancement and support of existing software applications and the development of new ones
  • High level knowledge of SAP software systems which can be leveraged to innovate or simplify existing internal processes or reports
  • Working knowledge of any data visualization or reporting tools

Education
  • At least a Bachelor’s Degree in HR, Finance, Legal, Business Administration, IT and/or comparable experience/degree


Practical Experience:

Essential
  • At minimum 1-3 years of relevant work experience in GM/HR, Legal, Finance, IT, International Tax or Compliance
  • HR Global Mobility expertise
  • Consulting and customer service experience

Desirable
  • International experience (living or working abroad)
  • Experience working in a virtual & multi-national team
  • Project Management experience
  • Understanding of Global Mobility processes and policies, immigration, social security, tax required & cross border compliance.


Language Skills:

Essential
  • Fluent written and spoken English

Desirable
  • Proficiency in other languages
