Position Summary

The Business Manager acts as a key team member of North America (NA) Consulting Delivery Leadership Team. NA Consulting is in the process of defining, adapting its service offering, and transforming its resources to support a new cloud business model, focused on customer success.
This role is tasked with handling a wide range of asks and projects in support of the ongoing business and the transformation – all requiring critical and quick thinking, attention to detail, flexibility and a “can-do, team-first” attitude. The Business Manager must be agile, work through ambiguity, and effectively navigate across all NA Consulting Teams. This person oversees projects and transformation of the NA Consulting organization to ensure we collectively exceed our strategic KPIs.
This role will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders across the globe (e.g., SBO, Transformation Office and the NA MUs). This is a high impact position requiring strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills with exemplary planning and execution skills. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, driven, and has proven success in building and delivering project in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. This individual has excellent communication and organizational skills, is approachable and proactive. This role reports to the Head of NA Consulting.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Transformation – Support in the design, planning and execution of the consulting business model transformation. Encourage and develop a cloud mind set through assisting in establishing cloud based programs and offerings.
  • Alignment, Task Management, and Business Health – tackle a diverse mix of administrative, operational, tactical and support of strategic activities and projects. Coordinate alignment for all NA goals, objectives, and initiatives. Track initiatives by monitoring progress towards meeting goals and achieving benchmarks, analyzing data, ensuring follow-through and sustaining momentum needed to drive progress. Manage assignments and tasks with a high-level of organization and autonomy. Manage the entire lifecycle of assigned projects, including scope and priority setting, identifying interdependencies, risk mitigation, issue tracking, quality management, resourcing needs, KPI monitoring, budgeting, communication planning, and overall status tracking.
  • Business health – Gather metrics and analysis of data to gauge the health of the offering, business, and utilization of resources. Assist with teams for follow-up and improvement actions.
  • Communications – develop talk tracks, email communications, presentations, key messages and content for business reviews. Work with NA Consulting Leadership to deliver thought leadership and messaging, while consistently delivering communications based on priorities and advocating for the information needs of employees, customers, and management.
  • Internal and customer meetings – preparation for meetings, example; building agenda topics, and coordinating with presenters; prepare briefing materials; participate as needed to capture follow-up items and ensure closure of those items.

  • Proven success in building and driving projects.
  • Demonstrated expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as, project charter, project management plan and status reporting.
  • Ability to build consensus, create momentum, and work well cross-functionally with other departments and varying levels of management.
  • High level of problem solving, organization and time management skills.
  • 2+ years of project and/or program management experience.
  • 5+ years of overall experience at a leading software or consulting company
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Previous experience at SAP Concur, SAP or other SAP companies is strongly desired.
  • Working knowledge of the enterprise and cloud software space preferred.
