The SAP Global Cloud Services (GCS) Demand and Capacity Management organization is responsible for the management of the cloud infrastructure demand and capacity across SAP Lines of Business. The Cloud Infrastructure Business Engagement Manager is a key component of a virtual account team concept established within the SAP GCS organization. He/she works closely and jointly together with the engagement managers in the experience management team and the platform owners from the delivery units. This ensures that all SAP Lines of Business have a clear view into the End to End capabilities of the SAP GCS organization to enable corporate and LoB strategies supporting SAP's growth.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

Reporting directly to the head of Demand and Capacity Planning within Global Cloud Services (GCS). This critical role provides exposure to the senior decision makers in the organization, and the opportunity to establish relationships with people across all of SAP. You must demonstrate the ability to be successful in a fluid, agile, and team-oriented environment. In addition, you must excel in all areas of business analysis, problem solving, communication and consensus building.

CAPACITY MANAGEMENT

  • Be first contact and assist customers to formulate new or changed Infrastructure capacity requirements
  • Conduct regular meetings with the customer to align and support the LoB infrastructure demand and key initiatives and projects
  • Align pricing and charging model for financial transparency in collaboration with the business office of GCS
  • Support initiatives like pro-active efficiency gains, landscape simplification / retirement (Infrastructure Lifecycle Management)
  • Conflict and escalation management in case of problems
  • Drive the infrastructure capacity approval and ordering process


DEMAND MANAGEMENT

  • Meet with customers and GCS delivery units at regular intervals to plan long-and mid-term and short-term demand
  • Forecast permanent and peak service demands volumes
  • Derive capacity demands and resulting budgets within the GCS Organization
  • Monitor and report service quality and budget consumption delivered towards delivery


EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Master’s Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Technical Engineering, Economics, Information Management, Mathematics, Statistics or related field
  • We place high value on relevant personal qualities: resourcefulness, flexibility, reliability, high energy and self-confidence
  • Strong track record in managing client / customer engagements either in Sales / Pre-Sales or Consulting settings
  • ITIL knowledge and skills are beneficial
  • Accustomed to working in an international / global virtual matrix organization
  • Well developed analytical and structuring skills and ability to solve problems
  • Perspective on current IT trends and their impact on business strategies
  • High Customer Orientation with a pro-active Relationship and Expectation Management
  • Strong communication and presentation skills


REQUIREMENTS

  • Good infrastructure know-how and technical understanding
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, interpersonal and collaborative skills, and the ability to communicate to technical teams and executive leaders
  • Experience working in a global organization, and working with customers in diverse cultural environments
  • Experience in working with analytic tools and dashboards
  • Completion of BS degree, MS degree a plus
  • > 3 years professional experience
