Your Impact

  • Lead programs by achieving alignment on program scope, release planning, as well as aligning one or more teams on vision, business goals, creating program structure, and securing cross-functional alignment.

  • Drive teams through the Software engineering experience using Agile and demonstrated analytical and technical skills.

  • Drive Steering Committee meetings with key stakeholders for each program to help make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues. Be the key driver to ensure business goals are met and drive the strategic vision of each program.

  • Develop strong partnerships with key functional stakeholders to drive focus on business goals. Be a trusted partner for executive management to ensure program success.

  • Partner with cross-functional teammates to drive workgroup alignment meetings to address tactical release issues, dependencies, team status, production issues, metrics review, milestones, etc. (cross functional - Product Owners, Scrum Masters, TechOps, Release Eng, Capacity, Functional Managers, Release Management).

  • Provide visibility to program status (issues, risks, metrics, etc.) on an ongoing basis through push status reporting (to all stakeholders, team members, and interested parties).

  • Manage "program/feature" dependencies across multiple teams, scrum teams, functions, divisions, and stakeholders.

  • Anticipate and remove obstacles with a sense of urgency that slow down or prevent project teams from delivering on project goals.

  • Provide monthly program reviews and updates at sprint reviews (deep dive into current state of project goals, risks, escalations).

  • Create a collaborative environment that fosters creativity, innovation, and learning.

  • Be a catalyst within the organization, someone who can help advance our Product & Technology strategy globally and drive others in the organization to change.

Minimum Requirements

  • 6-10 years (Senior TPM)/10-15+ years (Director)/12+ years (Senior Director) of experience leading large scale, enterprise product programs.

  • 6+ years of solution management experience for software or SaaS experience.

  • 3+ years of successfully implementing and managing SaaS product development programs; strong knowledge of the SaaS business model and its product development lifecycle.

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills with a history of hands-on, detail orientation.

  • Deep experience with the software development lifecycle; ability to adjust and apply this knowledge in a dynamic environment using agile methodologies.

  • Ability to establish credibility and rapport with senior executives and technical and non-technical team members alike.

  • Outstanding organizational, communication, and relationship building skills conducive to driving consensus; able to work well in a cross-functional, matrix management environment.

  • Experience with Portfolio Management.

  • Ability to master technical subjects and technologies relevant to the program.

  • Strong organizational, project management, analysis, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work well as a member of a highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.

  • Ability to successfully partner with all functions across the entire company.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Commerce Cloud
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management for Commerce Cloud will be a part of our One Commerce team, our Commerce on Core products within Salesforce. This person will drive the orchestration & execution of various strategic initiatives across One Commerce. This person will partner with the leadership team to drive strategy, in addition to helping to plan, organize, and work with teams to help execute the vision for key initiatives. In addition, the Senior Manager will also partner closely with the lead TPM in cloud operational & release planning processes. Along with these primary areas of ownership, this person will also be expected to own and run at least one cloud level strategic initiative. This is an individual contributor role.
Director, Technical Program Management, Marketing Cloud
The Director of Technical Program Management for Marketing Cloud will drive the program management for C360 Audiences team. This person will partner with our integration teams (CRM, Loyalty etc) on this initiative in addition to helping to plan, organize, and work with C360A teams to help execute the vision for our key initiatives. They will also represent the Marketing Cloud release plan, priorities, and business requirements to groups throughout the organization. Experience in CDP is preferred. This is an individual contributor role.
Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Platform Standards
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management of Platform Standards will be responsible for leading large -scale strategic technology programs at Salesforce focused on application security and access control. This person will partner with our senior leadership team to drive cross-functional planning and execution for these initiatives across multiple clouds, as well as work closely with functional teams to deliver key business value. Strong candidates will have excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization from individual engineers to senior executives as well as proven track record leading large highly complex projects. This is an individual contributor role and has to possibility to be up-leveled to a director level role.
Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Availability Cloud Engineering (ACE)
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management for Availability Cloud Engineering (ACE) will own and drive cross cloud strategic initiatives for Availability Cloud Engineering (ACE)'s four clouds: Monitoring, Availability Insights and Reporting (AIR), Management Tools, and Customer Analytics and Trust (CAT). You will partner with Product, Engineering and our internal partners/customers on program execution and will help to plan, organize, and work with functional teams to deliver business value. In addition, the role will partner closely with the lead TPM in cloud operational & release planning processes. Strong candidates will bring experience including release planning and Agile methodologies spanning multiple scrum teams, deep technical expertise in monitoring & availability technology and enterprise-scale service delivery spaces, as well as executive communication/presentation skills. This is an individual contributor role and has to possibility to be up-leveled to a director level role.

The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management for Site Reliability will organize delivery of strategic engineering programs, enabling high availability across all Salesforce products. You will help drive customer success by partnering with Engineering organizations to ensure successful, end-to-end delivery of large-scale programs across a multi-year roadmap. You will partner with leadership stakeholders to drive program strategy, and you will help to plan, organize, and work with functional teams to deliver business value. You will develop and manage complex program plans while managing scope and risks of delivery. The Senior Manager will build and drive the governance, workstreams, cultural transformation, and operational backbone of our Site Reliability muscle. This is an individual contributor role and has to possibility to be up-leveled to a director level role.

As the Director of Technical Program Management for Marketing Cloud (Pardot and Messaging & Journeys), you will be responsible for driving key strategic programs that deliver value, drive customer success, and fuel our extraordinary growth. You will partner with Product, Engineering, UX, and Marketing organizations to ensure successful, end-to-end delivery of large-scale programs across a multi-year roadmap. You will partner with leadership stakeholders to drive program strategy and you will help to plan, organize, and work with functional teams to deliver business value. You will develop and manage complex program plans while managing scope and risks of delivery. Strong candidates for this role will have experience driving cross-functional initiatives at scale and be well versed in go-to-market motions, product development, cross-cloud collaboration, as well as planning, organizing, and collaborating with teams to execute on product vision and operational excellence. Director, Technical Program Management, Availability Risk & Compliance
The Director of Technical Program Management for Availability Risk & Compliance will organize alignment of strategic engineering programs, enabling high availability across all Salesforce products. You will help drive customer success by partnering with architects and engineering organizations to track, socialize, and implement architectural decisions/best practices within the organization (including acquisitions) through the usage of working groups and product reviews. This person will build and drive the governance, work streams, cultural transformation, and operational backbone of our architecture/engineering muscle, partnering with stakeholders to drive program strategy. The Director will help to plan, organize, and work with functional teams to deliver business value and will develop and manage complex program plans while managing scope and risks of delivery. This is an individual contributor role.
Director, Technical Program Management, Scalability Cloud
The Director of Technical Program Management for our Scalability Cloud will build and drive the operational backbone of this newly formed Cloud. This person will coordinate across clouds to help manage the strategic cross-cloud B2C Scale program as well has help build and run new programs as we establish product development teams within the cloud. They will be responsible for partnering with cross-function and cross-cloud leadership teams to drive the strategy of one or more programs, as well as helping to plan, organize and work with teams to execute the vision. The TPM will often be covering new ground within the company and will need to determine how different organizations work, align key people to goals, and be creative in determining how to drive to success, leveraging successful models where they exist and creating processes and best practices where they don't. This is initially an individual contributor role but can turn into a people management role over the next 12 months as the program grows.
Director, Technical Program Management, Automation Platform
The Director of Technical Program Management of Automation Services will be responsible for leading large-scale, strategic technology programs at Salesforce focused on product introduction, integration and migrations. This person will partner with Product, Engineering, internal partners/customers, as well as senior leaders to drive cross-functional planning and execution for these initiatives across multiple clouds, as well as work closely with functional teams to deliver key business value. Strong candidates will have excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization from individual engineers to senior executives as well as proven track record leading large highly complex projects. Senior Manager, Technical Program Management, Sales Cloud
The Senior Manager of Technical Program Management for Sales Cloud will be responsible for leading strategic cross-functional and operational programs supporting the Sales Cloud business. This person will partner with Sales Cloud leadership to deliver programs within the Sales Cloud product roadmap, and drive operational coordination across Engineering, Product, GTM, Legal, and Marketing actions to quickly bring time-sensitive capabilities to market. In this role, the Sales Cloud TPM will manage cross-functional teams during the development and release phases of the process, help navigate complex dependencies and timelines, escalate program risks to leadership and mitigate accordingly, and assist in prioritization of deliverables to align with the overall business strategy.
Strong candidates for this role will have experience driving cross-functional initiatives at scale and be well versed in go-to-market motions, product development, cross-cloud collaboration, as well as planning, organizing, and collaborating with teams to execute on product vision and operational excellence. 7-12 years of program management or implementation consulting is desired. This is an individual contributor role that can be up-leveled to a director level role.
