About the Position

The Salesforce Public Sector Solutions Engineering team is a team of technology, industry and business process experts that support direct sales to prospects, customers, and partners by creating, packaging, and demonstrating innovative solutions for a client’s needs.
This Marketing Cloud Solution Engineer position is dedicated to supporting the dynamic Public Sector Marketing Cloud Sales team.
Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a leader in AI driven digital marketing automation across email, mobile, social and web. Presenting to audiences ranging from operational marketing and IT teams to C-Level executives and public servants, the Salesforce Marketing Cloud Solutions Engineer must be motivated and capable of delivering memorable presentations and demonstrations while knowledgeably supporting the discussion of our marketing solutions to all levels of detail.
About the Requirements

Primary requirements
The candidate will ideally have the follow competencies and experience:

  • A proven track record of success – ideally a minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role (ideally marketing technology)

  • Be able to work with an extended team to plan and execute upon a targeted engagement campaign

  • Having the curiosity and tenacity to undertake deep, relevant client discovery and to ensure that the resulting presentation and solution demonstration solves for the identified business challenges

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, comfortable presenting to teams, occasionally larger groups, CXOs and senior officers.

  • A passion for storytelling to bring customer engagements to life using impactful presentation and solution demonstration content

  • Having a results driven mindset to maximise the impact of all Marketing Cloud solution messaging in a language that resonates with the customer

  • Agility to thrive on change, and variety, often working across multiple concurrent customer engagements

  • Be an autonomous self-starter that is able to manage and prioritise tasks effectively

  • Be up to date of the latest trends in customer marketing, martech, customer experience and customer engagement

  • Have an appetite to innovate Salesforce solutions to drive improvements in both customer and colleague experience

  • Have a passion for continual personal development

  • Be Fluent or very close in English language

Secondary Requirements
It would be great, but not at all essential, if if the candidate has:

  • Public Sector Experience

  • Experience of positioning broader, integrated solutions that influences the Customer Experience, like Commerce & Service

  • Relevant digital marketing qualifications or equivalent work experience with demonstrated proficiency

  • Experience with product management or implementation

  • Worked for a SaaS computing company
