Salesforce’s Global Safety & Security team protects the people, facilities, and assets of the company. To accomplish our mission, we are seeking a Risk Intelligence Manager to drive forward various intelligence programs as part of a proactive security operations team. Qualified candidates must be able to positively interact with stakeholders across Salesforce and demonstrate ownership of deliverables. The candidate must be able to build and maintain rapport, understand and adapt to nuances of varied internal customers, and provide robust analysis.
The Risk Intelligence Manager will contribute to various intelligence products that assess risk and threats to Salesforce’s people, assets, and operations on a regional and/or global level, including but not limited to Executive Risk, Travel Risk, Event Risk, Property Risk, Insider Threat, Counterterrorism, Brand and Reputation, and Due Diligence.
The Risk Intelligence Manager reports directly to the Director of Risk Intelligence & Protective Services within the Global Safety & Security organization. The candidate will be tasked to deliver solutions to:

  • Enterprise-wide Intelligence Awareness

  • Event, Facility, Regional, and Country Risk Assessments

  • Drive adoption of event security standards

  • Routine intelligence monitoring and gathering

  • Response to security-related incidents at events that may impact people, brand, and property of Salesforce

  • Investigation support

  • Support Executive Leadership monitoring for risk, threat and high risk travel intelligence

  • Open Source Investigation support

  • Travel Risk Intelligence

The successful candidate will provide analytical expertise to support a variety of cross-functional internal Salesforce clients – headquarters and regional offices – for threat assessment and intelligence purposes with the goal of supporting the safety and security of our Ohana.
This position resides in the security operations organization, and the successful candidate for this role will be expected to serve in an on-call rotation, and be available for emergent situations as needed. Expected travel will be less than 10% annually.
Responsibilities:

  • Utilize Risk Intelligence infrastructure, tools, and processes including development prioritization processes for emerging tools with reporting and analytical platforms

  • Support an environment of Protecting People, Assets and Reputation through incident prevention, intelligence sharing and incident resolution.

  • Customize communication and output to a wide variety of audiences; determine best audience for data-driven insights

  • Create dashboards, visualizations, and analyses that surface insights and drive key business decisions; provide interpretation and analysis, or insight along with clearly-stated information, representing both the team and leadership.

  • Support an environment of protecting Salesforce’s people, assets, and reputation through proactive intelligence reporting, information sharing, and partnering with Corporate Security and cross-functional partners.

  • Synthesize investigative findings through the creation of reports and presentations that provide a coherent narrative assessing external risk

  • Gather and analyze data to facilitate improvements in the methodologies, tools and techniques to enable the team to scale and optimize operations to mitigate potential risk.

  • Provide accurate and timely documentation of event security planning efforts, incident, and mitigation reporting for global events.

  • Partner with other teams in Global Safety & Security, Protective Services, Corporate Security Operations, and across Salesforce to exchange threat information.

Key Qualifications:

  • Experience with project management (i.e. taking an idea from initial scoping through to delivery and adoption).

  • Strong competency working in web-based tools including spreadsheet programs and app scripts.

  • Excellent collaboration, analytical problem-solving, project management, and communication skills (verbal and written).

  • Effective at building trust through relationships.

  • Experience operating strategic projects with cross-functional partners.

  • Proven ability to work with highly confidential information.

  • Demonstrated ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously and function in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to distill communications and tailor make deliverables based on a target audience.

  • Experience influencing others while cultivating relationships with business partners.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce and our business culture.

Education/Experience:

  • 6+ years of relevant work experience in risk intelligence, threat analysis, business intelligence/analysis, competitive/market intelligence/analysis, crisis management, Loss Prevention/Corporate Security or Business Continuity.

  • A proven track record of working collaboratively with subject matter experts on cross-functional teams, balancing disparate priorities, and rapid problem solving in high-stress situations.

  • Experience involving Insider Threat & Internal investigations, technical investigations, intellectual property investigations, and/or financial fraud investigations.

  • Experience leading/engaging with multiple stakeholders while effectively managing scope of work in a fast moving environment.
