Job Description
The EVP of Skills will drive full product development, execution, and accountability for the ongoing success of Pluralsight’s Skills product, reporting directly to the CEO. We are looking for an inspired leader who is a strategic thinker, with an ability to coach a team of highly technical and innovative team members. Someone who is well versed with product development, resource allocation, change management and stakeholder engagement. The role will be responsible for Skills product line’s overarching strategy along with product management, UX/UI, Product Marketing, Operations, Analytics, and Pricing and Packaging. This role will be accountable for growing Pluralsight’s Skills billings and cross-selling pipeline to other product lines. The Head of Skills Product will work closely with our most senior leaders and with our top talent across the globe in IT, software development, sales and marketing.

What you'll own:

  • The full end to end Skills Product, including Product Development, UX/UI, Operations, Product Marketing, Analytics, Pricing and Packaging and any other element of this product to drive growth. You will not manage go to market resources but will heavily partner with these teams.

  • You will define who we are selling to, what should be done, how this should be designed and how we will pitch this to the customer

  • Drive Skills vision, goals, responsibilities, resources, budget and KPIs.

  • Help drive the design and successful implementation of profitable, effective, and customer-oriented tech-based solutions for the business.

  • Work with internal partners such as Revenue, Marketing, Engineering and others to drive the success of Skills.

  • The overarching Pluralsight Brand, and ensure the organization understands and aligns to the brand standards

  • You will spend ~40% of your time with our customers understanding what they need and incorporating that into a strategy that can be executed upon rapidly.

  • You will provide recommendations on engineering deployment resourcing.

Experience you'll need:

  • Strong Business Strategy & Operations Leadership, including a broad range of experience across sales, marketing, product management and engineering.

  • Proven strategy development and execution that delivers amazing results

  • The ability to partner strategically with stakeholders across these business areas from a people and technical perspective.

  • You understand how to get the best from people, and have a proven track record of driving results.

  • You have built successful teams and organizations from the ground up, and you can grow an outstanding team.

  • Executive presence and gravitas including onstage presence

  • Effective project management background with experience leading large cross functional initiatives

  • Ability to inspire and align teams located across the globe including all departments across the company.

  • Understands and is familiar with Modern Product Development, Human Centered Design, Kanban preferred.

  • The successful candidate has experience leading leaders of product management, product design preferred.
